2 SV-420 & SV-480 UNSINKABLE RESCUE BOATS SV-420 and SV-480 are rescue boats that comply with SOLAS 1974 and all its ulterior amendments and also with the Directive 96/98/CE, amended by the Directive 2002/75/EC on Marine Equipment (MED), under the EC TYPE-EXAMINATION CERTIFICATON MED-B-5810 for SV-420 and MED-B-5815 for SV-480. with the maintenance and user manuals. overboard crew members from the sea. 4 SV s RESCUE BOATS S.O.L.A.S. SV-420 In full compliance with S.O.L.A.S. new requirements, the rescue boat SV-420 design increases both model (SV-400). Therefore the SV-420 enables to place the new approved stretcher on deck, which is a compulsory requirement, to carry an injured person. On top of that the rescue boat SV 420 has transverse seats for all the passengers and a bow locker to store all the necessary equipment. This new length rescue boat intends to improve boat capacity and performance, allowing a quicker and more effective answer when facing an emergency situation. SV-480 The rescue boat SV-480 lay out have been designed and approved in order to allow navigation by using an adapted driving position, as well as navigation with traditional outboard engine with tiller. Approved for a 40 hp minimum engine power and 75 hp maximum engine power, the driving position will allow a more comfortable boat operation, improving the reaction time in case of emergency. There is room enough on the deck to place the approved stretcher mandatory installation- for injured person transportation. Rescue boats SV-420 and SV-480 SOLAS approved, have currently authorization M.C.A., (Maritime Coastguard Agency - UK), which allows white colour for the rescue boats on board of yachts under M.C.A. regulation. Both models are exactly the same boats than SOLAS approved ones being the only difference the white colour, which is the most common colour on leisure yatchs.
