2 REASONS WHY HAVING A COLOMBIAN VISA/PASSPORT IS A SMART PLAN You can stay in Colombia for up to 365 days per year if you wish. With a visa you can obtain a cedula (Colombian national ID card). With a cedula you can easily open a Colombian bank account which could lead to establishing a credit history in Colombia. You can pay bills online with a Colombian bank account. You may save on travel costs as Colombian tourist visas are typically only good for days, perhaps forcing you to make extra flights out of Colombia.
