3 The University of Liverpool is located in the centre of the city. It is considered to be the original red brick university, a term used to describe institutions of the Russell Group. This reference was inspired by the University s distinctive Victoria Building ( far right).

4 One of the most striking buildings on campus is the Active Learning Laboratory, home to the Department of Engineering. The Building makes a statement with its use of vibrant multi-coloured lighting and can cleverly use its technology to advertise activities and upcoming events to students.
