FACTORY RESET + UP DOWN Push enter in order to select the displayed mode Push menu in order to return to previous mode ENTER In each mode - push UP and DOWN buttons to change values or toggle between values - to confirm and to move to next value - to return to previous mode. If settings have not been confirmed by pushing ENTER, settings will not be saved if MENU is pushed. 3 of 14

The first time the is activated, these settings have to be entered by the user in order for the to identify the reception signal, time zone and DST parameters. N Toggle by using the UP and DOWN buttons DST FREE AREA Some areas are not using DST, even though they are positioned within a country with DST time (e.g. Indiana / USA). In order to determine whether DST is used or not, the DST free area option has to be set. Y (Yes) = if DST is not being used N (No) = if DST is being used 4 of 14

S E T T I M E M A N U A L! See chapter 6.1. and 6.2. to set time and date manually. Remarks: The initial reception mode can be cancelled any time by pushing the MENU button 5 of 14

SET TIME Access: Menu Down Enter Attention: The transmission of the official time is guarantied only if the received time information is not overwritten manually. The Set Time option should only be used for demonstration purposes or if no official time has been received. S E T T I M E 0 3 : 0 0 : 0 0 P After time has been set with the UP and DOWN buttons, settings must be confirmed by pushing ENTER. The display will then show: I S D S T A C T I V E? Y E S Yes or No can be selected by toggling between the two with the UP or DOWN buttons. By choosing YES, it is determined, that the current status of the local area is Daylight saving time active (e.g. in July in Germany, DST is active). By choosing NO, it is determined that the current status of the local area is Standard time active (e.g. in December in Germany, standard time is active). Remark: If the selection DST free area? = Yes has been made within initial settings, NO will be displayed and can not be edited. 6.2 SET DATE Access: 2X Menu Down Enter Attention: The transmission of the official time is guarantied only if the received date information is not overwritten manually. The Set Date option should only be used for demonstration purposes or if no official date has been received. 7 Preliminary Data Sheet 6.3 SET TRANSMISSION Access: 3X S E T T R A N S M I S S I O N P R G 1 A U T O Menu Down Enter Up to five different transmission periods can be set. Use the UP and DOWN buttons to select. Push ENTER to confirm selection. After the program number is chosen, the transmission signal can be selected. The transmitted signal can differ from the pre-set signal of the initial settings. Possible adjustments are: AUTO = will transmit the pre-set signal (adjusted in initial settings). OFF = no transmission DCF = 77.5kHz MSF = 60kHz WWVB = 60kHz JJY60 = 60kHz By pushing ENTER, Following display will be shown. If OFF is selected and confirmed by pushing ENTER, the next program number will be displayed. S T A R T : 1 2 : 0 0 A M P E R I O D : 2 3 h 5 9 m i n Adjust START with UP and DOWN buttons and confirm by pushing ENTER. The minimum transmission period is 10 minutes, max. transmission period can be set to 23 hours 59 minutes. 5 different transmission times and period can maximum be set. Note: The maximum transmission time is 23h 59m if e.g. this is selected already in the first Program all others will be blocked. Remarks: 1. Transmission can only be performed, when a power supply is connected. Note: If no power supply is connected following message will appear when the transmission want to be started manually or automatically. please connect power supply This message will be deleted when the power supply is plugged in or if any button is pushed. 2. A manual transmission is always possible by pushing the DOWN key for >4s. 7 of 14

8 Preliminary Data Sheet 6.4 SET RECEPTION Access: 4X Menu Down Enter S E T R E C E P T I O N A U T O R E C O N use the UP and DOWN button to switch between ON and OFF confirm with the ENTER button. IF ON is selected the following display will be shown: S T A R T : 1 2 : 3 9 A M Adjust START of reception with UP and DOWN buttons and confirm by pushing ENTER. The maximum reception period is 20 minutes. The will automatically start up to 5 repeat reception trials if the reception was not successful. Time between the reception trials is 1h. Note: Default setting for reception start is 12:39AM the regular reception for watch and clocks is normally at full hour. To make sure that at this time the is transmitting it is the best time to start reception at minute 39. Remarks: A manual reception is always possible by pushing the UP key for >4s. 8 of 14

In sleep mode, the LCD, the transmission and the reception will be switched off. Internal time and settings will be kept. The can be re-activated after 3 seconds by pushing any button. 6.6 FACTORY RESET Access: 6X Menu Down Enter F A C T O R Y R E S E T F A C T O R Y R E S E T Y E S? By confirming Yes with the ENTER button, a factory reset is performed immediately. All settings will be set back to delivery condition (default) and any settings done by the user will be deleted.
