1 Vehicle Warranty Policy for EICHER Light Medium Duty Vehicles EICHER TRUCKS AND BUSES (ETB) warrants each EICHER vehicle and its aggregates and components thereof, manufactured by VE Commercial Vehicles Limited to be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use subject to the following terms and conditions 1. The warranty shall be for 12 months from the date of sale of the vehicle irrespective of kilometers covered during this period. For Engine and gear box, warranty of 36 months shall be in force from the date of sale of the vehicle. 2. The warranty extends to the first registered owner of the vehicle only. 3. ETB s obligation shall be limited to repairing or replacing, such part or parts of the supplied EICHER vehicle, which on examination are deemed to be defective in ETB opinion on the vehicle being brought to us or to our dealers within the warranty period. This warranty is the entire warranty given by ETB for Eicher Vehicles and no dealer or its agent or employee is authorized to extend or enlarge this warranty and no dealer or its agent or employee is authorized to provide any oral or written warranty on ETB s behalf 4. Such defective part or parts which have been replaced by ETB dealers under warranty shall become property of ETB. 5. Only Eicher genuine parts must be used to replace any defective parts under warranty. 6. Dealer shall repair or replace the minimum required parts required to rectify the complaint. Only under special circumstances, if rectification requires replacement of a subassembly/ assembly shall the dealer do so, but only after obtaining the requisite approvals from ETB. 7. For Parts repaired or replaced under this warranty policy, benefits of warranty shall apply to repaired or replaced parts for the remainder of warranty period as mentioned in point 1 above and not beyond. 8. Proprietary parts not manufactured by VE Commercial Vehicles Limited but supplied by other manufacturers such as Fuel Injection Equipments, Starter Motor, Alternator, Turbo Charger, Tyres, Tubes, Batteries, Hydraulic Tipping Equipments and Tipping body, Brake and Clutch circuit components, Electrical equipment etc. shall be governed by the warranty terms and conditions offered by those manufacturers and not by ETB. Warranty of these items, needs to be referred to the respective manufacturer through ETB Dealers. The respective manufacturers decision on warranty would be deemed as final and binding. The buyer shall be entitled to exercise the right so for as permissible by law, such rights as ETB may have against those parties under warranties if given by them. It is expressly agreed that there are no warranties, statuary or otherwise expressed or implied, made by either the Dealer or ETB on Eicher vehicle or parts thereof except the warranty here in contained.

2 9. Warranty shall not apply to: a. Normal ageing, deterioration or rusting of plated parts, paint coat, rubber parts, upholstery, FRP, plastic parts and soft trim. b. Normal periodic replacement parts and routine maintenance services such as consumable items (Lubricating Oils, Grease, Coolants, etc) Fan Belts, Oil Seals, Gaskets (other than cylinder head gasket) Hoses, Repair Kits, Shims, Wiper Blades, Filters (by-pass filter,oil filter, fuel filter, air filters etc ),water separator and Mats. c. Normal wear and tear components ( Pls refer limits given in operator s manual ) d. Damage due to use of parts other than EICHER genuine parts. e. Damage due to absence of radiator cap/usage of other than recommended cap, absence of coolant /usage of coolant in any ratio other than recommended. f. Damage due to the use of lubricants/oils/grease/coolant/electrical items etc. other than that specified or otherwise recommended by ETB. g. Damage like any seizures and engine discoloration etc., due to the use of lubricants/oils/grease/coolant /fuel etc. other than the specified grade recommended by VE Commercial Vehicles. h. Damage due to misuse such as loading in excess of the GVW as certified by VE Commercial Vehicles Limited, improper driving leading to issues in power train, clutch, axle shaft, overrunning due to negligence in driving, involvement in races, rallies and places not meant for vehicular traffic, damage due to usage of any vehicle in other than normal application for that vehicle. i. Damage due to repair carried out by any person other than ETB dealers or due to non adherence to standard repair procedure prescribed by ETB. j. Damage due to unauthorized alterations in suspension system, fuel injection system, cooling system, exhaust system, air intake system, brake system, electrical system, Chassis frame, Body, any other aggregate. k. Externally built body and its parts. l. Consequential Damage to vehicle due to improper body building and non adherence to recommended body building and mounting guidelines provided by ETB. m. Any damage due to non adherence of maintaining tightening of fasteners / wheel alignment / wheel balancing/ tyre rotation/tyre inflation. n. Bulbs & fuses.

Incidental or consequential damages such as loss of time due to non use of vehicle, inconvenience or damage to personal property, commercial loss such as loss of revenue, towing charges, parking and insurance charges etc during the period when the vehicle is undergoing service/ warranty repairs. p. Damage due to traffic, riots, accident, fire, floods, earthquakes, chemical pollution and or any such natural calamities Irregularities not recognized as affecting quality or function of the Vehicle or its constituent part such as slight noise, vibrations, oil ooze, fit and finish, gaps etc. q. Vehicles declared as total loss by insurer. r. Vehicles where Odometer or engine hour meter is observed to be tampered /not working. If odometer or hour meter is not working due to manufacturing issue, it must be immediately brought to notice of ETB dealer and get rectified. 10. For obtaining warranty services, the owner must bring the vehicle to the ETB Dealer s place of business where such warranty services will be performed. This warranty shall not apply, if the vehicle is not maintained as prescribed in the Operator s Manual at ETB dealers. 11. This warranty is expressly in lieu of all warranties; whether by law or otherwise, expressed or implied, and all other obligations or liabilities on ETB s part and ETB neither assumes nor authorizes any person to assume on ETB s behalf any other liability in connection with the sale of ETB vehicles. 12. The buyer shall have no other rights except those set out above and have, in particular, no right to repudiate any agreement to claim any reduction of the purchase price or to demand any payment of damages or compensation for accrued losses. 13. For entitlement of warranty, it is necessary that all the Recommended Services are availed by the customer as per the Maintenance schedule prescribed in the Operator s Manual. These services must be availed at ETB dealers only. 14. Any Claim arising from this warranty shall be recognized only if it is notified to ETB Authorized Dealer concerned or to ETB immediately on occurrence of an issue without delay. If vehicle is continuing to operate even after detection of any issue, warranty shall not be applicable. 15. This warranty policy supersedes all other policies implied earlier and all other obligations or liabilities on ETB s part. 16. ETB reserves the right to make changes in design of the vehicle or introduce any improvement or add any part on vehicles at any time without any obligation to install these changes on the vehicles previously sold. 17. ETB s decision on all warranty claims shall be final and binding.

4 WARRANTY POLICY FOR HD MODELS EICHER TRUCKS AND BUSES (ETB) warrants each EICHER vehicle and its aggregates and components thereof, manufactured by VE Commercial Vehicles Limited to be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use subject to the following terms and conditions. 1. The warranty shall be in force until the expiry of 24 months for entire vehicle from the date of sale irrespective of kilometers covered during this period. 2. The warranty extends to the first registered owner of the vehicle only. 3. ETB s obligation shall be limited to repairing or replacing, such part or parts of the supplied EICHER vehicle, which on examination are deemed to be defective in ETB opinion on the vehicle being brought to us or to our dealers within the warranty period. This warranty is the entire warranty given by ETB for Eicher Vehicles and no dealer or its agent or employee is authorized to extend or enlarge this warranty and no dealer or its agent or employee is authorized to provide any oral or written warranty on ETB s behalf. 4. Such defective part or parts which have been replaced by ETB dealers under warranty shall become property of ETB. 5. Normal periodic replacement parts and routine maintenance services such as consumable items (Lubricating Oils, Grease, Coolants, etc) Fan Belts, Oil Seals, Gaskets (other than cylinder head gasket) Hoses, Repair Kits, Shims, Wiper Blades, Filters (by-pass filter,oil filter, fuel filter, air filters etc ),water separator and Mats. c. Normal wear and tear components ( Pls refer limits given in operator s manual ). d. Damage due to use of parts other than EICHER genuine parts. e. Damage due to absence of radiator cap/usage of other than recommended cap, absence of coolant /usage of coolant in any ratio other than recommended. f. Damage due to the use of lubricants/oils/grease/coolant/electrical items etc. other than that specified or otherwise recommended by ETB. g. Damage like any seizures and engine discoloration etc., due to the use of lubricants/oils/grease/coolant /fuel etc. other than the specified grade recommended by VE Commercial Vehicles. h. Damage due to misuse such as loading in excess of the GVW as certified by VE Commercial Vehicles Limited, improper driving leading to issues in power train, clutch, axle shaft, overrunning due to negligence in driving, involvement in races, rallies and places not meant for vehicular traffic, damage due to usage of any vehicle in other than normal application for that vehicle. i. Damage due to repair carried out by any person other than ETB dealers or due to non adherence to standard repair procedure prescribed by ETB. j. Damage due to unauthorized alterations in suspension system, fuel injection system, cooling system, exhaust system, air intake system, brake system, electrical system, Chassis frame, Body, any other aggregate. k. Externally built body and its parts. l. Consequential Damage to vehicle due to improper body building and non adherence to recommended body building and mounting guidelines provided by ETB. m. Any damage due to non adherence of maintaining tightening of fasteners / wheel alignment / wheel balancing/ tyre rotation/tyre inflation. n. Bulbs & fuses. o. Incidental or consequential damages such as loss of time due to non use of vehicle, inconvenience or damage to personal property, commercial loss such as loss of revenue, towing charges, parking and insurance charges etc during the period when the vehicle is undergoing service/ warranty repairs. p. Damage due to traffic, riots, accident, fire, floods, earthquakes, chemical pollution and or

6 any such natural calamities Irregularities not recognized as affecting quality or function of the Vehicle or its constituent part such as slight noise, vibrations, oil ooze, fit and finish, gaps etc. q. Vehicles declared as total loss by insurer. r. Vehicles where Odometer or engine hour meter is observed to be tampered /not working. If odometer or hour meter is not working due to manufacturing issue, it must be immediately brought to notice of ETB dealer and get rectified. 10. For obtaining warranty services, the owner must bring the vehicle to the ETB Dealer s place of business where such warranty services will be performed. This warranty shall not apply, if the vehicle is not maintained as prescribed in the Operator s Manual at ETB dealers. 11. 7 WARRANTY POLICY FOR TERRA 16 EICHER TRUCKS AND BUSES (ETB) warrants each EICHER vehicle and its aggregates and components thereof, manufactured by VE Commercial Vehicles Limited to be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use subject to the following terms and conditions. 1. The warranty shall be in force until the expiry of 18 months or 1.5 Lakh kilometers or 2000 hours of engine operation whichever is earlier for entire vehicle from the date of sale of the vehicle. 2. The warranty extends to the first registered owner of the vehicle only. 3. ETB s obligation shall be limited to repairing or replacing, such part or parts of the supplied EICHER vehicle, which on examination are deemed to be defective in ETB opinion on the vehicle being brought to us or to our dealers within the warranty period. The warranty shall be for 12 months for the entire vehicle from the date of sale of the vehicle to the first purchaser irrespective of kilometers covered during this period. 2. The warranty extends to the first registered owner only. 3. ETB s obligation shall be limited to repairing or replacing, such part or parts of the supplied EICHER vehicle, which on examination are deemed to be defective in ETB opinion on the vehicle being brought to us or to our dealers within the warranty period. This warranty policy supersedes all other policies implied earlier and all other obligations or liabilities on ETB s part. 14. ETB reserves the right to make changes in design of the vehicle or introduce any improvement or add any part on vehicles at any time without any obligation to install these changes on the vehicles previously sold. 15. ETB s decision on all warranty claims shall be final and binding. Note: The warranty for electrical harness, gas specific parts is limited to 12 months from the date of sale, irrespective of KMs covered. Maintenance parts like oil filters, CB points, Spark Plugs and perishable rubber parts are not covered under warranty.
