2 Very important information When you apply for your visa overseas, you will be issued with a temporary visa inside your passport valid for 30 days only. When you arrive in the UK, you will have to collect your full UK visa (known as a Biometric Residence Permit, or BRP). You absolutely must use the delivery code we provided you on your CAS statement, and change your delivery location to Goldsmiths. If you don t do this, you will not be able to enrol with us, so this is really important. To make sure your visa comes to Goldsmiths, when asked about your BRP collection location, you must select alternative location (We have taken a screen shot for you to help guide you) Applying for your Tier 4 visa application overseas Once you have received your CAS statement, you will need to make your Tier 4 visa application. Please read this guide very carefully before applying for your visa. Order of the visa process Receive your CAS statement from Goldsmiths Complete your online visa application form in your home country Sign the online declaration Use a dedicated code to make sure your full UK visa ( your BRP) is delivered to Goldsmiths Book an appointment to have your biometric data taken Pay your Immigration Health Charge Pay for your visa application Submit and print your application Making your visa application Step 1 Register online by visiting: Step 2 Complete your visa application form and enter your CAS details on the form Step 3 Select a visa delivery location, using the special delivery code we have provided you with Step 4 Make an appointment to have your biometric information taken Step 5 Make your Immigration Health charge payment Step 6 Pay for your visa application

This is also under the Your Course Details section Start and End dates of the course? Copy the dates exactly as they are stated on your CAS What is the address of the main site of study? Use the address above, and you can also find this on your CAS under Tier 4 Sponsor Details Have you been assessed by the sponsor by other means, for example references or a portfolio of artwork? Select No, for the purposes of your visa application, you have only been assessed by the academic qualifications listed in the Documents used to make offer section of your CAS

4 Please indicate how you meet the minimum English language requirement relevant to your course You can find this information in the English Language section of your CAS Select the best option for you For courses below degree level, for example, International Foundation Certificates, this will either be: National of a Majority English Speaking Country Degree level qualification from a Majority English Speaking Country English Language Test ( such as IELTS) For courses at degree level or above, unless you a national of a majority English speaking country, or have a degree from a majority English speaking country, you usually select your sponsor is an HEI and has made its own assessment of your English language ability Maintenance and Fees How much are the fees for your course of study? Find this in the Tuition Fees section of your CAS Have any of your course fees been paid? If you have made a payment to us already, this should also be on your CAS. Write the details here. What document has been provided as evidence of payment? For this initial application what is your primary site of study? Select Shown in the CAS Select Inside the Inner London Boroughs

5 How much funding GBP ( ) per month do you have to cover your maintenance charges? You are required to have at least 1,265 per month for a maximum of 9 months, so you should write 1265 in this box, even if you have more money than this available to you Have any of your accommodation fees been paid to your sponsor? You will be able to deduct up to 1,265 of your accommodation fees from the total maintenance funds that you need to have for your visa application if you will live in Goldsmiths Halls of Residence. This should be listed on your CAS if it applies to you. Official sponsorship can only be from a Government, a University or an International Organisation Financial support from your parents is not considered to be official sponsorship US Federal Loan funding is considered to be official sponsorship/ funding Do you receive support from a financial sponsor that meets the UK Visa and Immigration definition of a financial sponsor? Enter the total amount you receive in the first box If they will cover at least 11,385 visa maintenance and all tuition fees, write this in the boxes provided If they will provide less than 11,385 and full tuition fees, you should write the exact amount you will receive from them How much in GBP( ) is the official financial sponsor or Government sponsor paying towards your expenses? Select No if you have an official financial sponsor who is paying all of your maintenance funds and tuition fees Or: Select Yes if your sponsor is not covering all visa maintenance and tuition fees and enter the following amounts in the boxes: Course fees = the balance of the fees that you would need to pay after your sponsor has made their contributions Maintenance = the balance of the maintenance that you need to show, for example, if your sponsor will pay 1,000 per month, you would need to pay the extra 265 for up to 9 months, so 2,385 GBP If your sponsor is only paying your tuition fees, you would need to write 1,265 per month in the box

6 Do you have any remaining fees and maintenance still due for payment? Select Yes if you have official financial sponsorship, US Federal Loans, or if you will use your own bank statements Or: Select No if you will be relying on your parent s bank statements Do you have money in your own name? This means are your bank statements in your name. If you have official sponsorship, this is money in your own name. If you are using your parent s bank statements, then the money is not in your own name. If you selected Yes for the previous question ( so that you are using your own money) If you are a low risk national applying in your home country, you can write here the documents you would provide if they were requested, for example birth certificate, parent s bank statements and you can say documents available but not provided because of the low risk arrangements If you are not a low risk national, you should write the documents you will be providing, for example, original birth certificate, parental bank statements and letter of consent If you selected No for the previous question ( so that you are using your parent s bank statements) Write here the documents you will provide, which would need to include your birth certificate and a letter of consent from your parents. Remember, if you are a low risk national, write what you would provide if required.
