A measuring accuracy of up to +/- 0.1 mm is achieved. The process of door / hood / fender / liftgate fitting includes sensor-guided pick-up of the part, precise iterative assembly in accordance to the best-fit strategy, adjustments for nut runner torque, and a gap and flush quality check in the station. A measurement accuracy of +/- 0.1 mm can be achieved. Our moving line gap and flush measurement station for vehicle closure panels provides precise panel fit data that can be used to guide fitters or audit the fitting process and is displayed on visualization monitors for employees. The process of seam sealing, underbody sealing, waxing and NVH includes the 3D-position detection of the car body on the floor or ceiling conveying technology. In addition, the inspection of the application can be documented afterwards by means of stationary camera systems. The system achieves measuring accuracies of < 1.0 mm for measuring times of < 2 seconds.

A measurement accuracy of +/- 0.1 mm can be achieved. The process of rear window, side window and windshield fitting includes the verification of the window type, the primer inspection, the bead inspection, the sensor-guided pick-up of the object followed by the precise, iterative, controlled installation. The inspection of the insertion result is done after gluing. A measurement accuracy of +/- 0.1 mm can be achieved. Our moving line gap and flush measurement station is also used to measure painted vehicles in final assembly as a fitter guide and audit cell. The visualization of the gap and flash values is for the employees at the end of the line. This complex task includes reading the VIN number, the breakdown into the individual features and the verification of up to 250 individual measurements on the complete vehicle. This includes storage of images and all measurement features for each vehicle in a database for up to 12 months as a build record for the plant.
