2 Part of the huge Verbier ski area Resort Information La Tzoumaz is part of the huge Verbier Ski area and has a range of skiing to suit all abilities. There are over 410km of prepared ski pistes for you to rocket down and for the more daring there is some of the best off-piste skiing in the world. The village is at 1500m with dramatic views over the stunning Rhone Valley. There is a hotel in the village and a choice of restaurants and bars where you can relax after a long days skiing. There are also sports shops if your need to stock up on equipment. Getting there Access is extremely easy making this a good weekend destination. Veysonnaz is just 1 hour 45 minutes from Geneva and it is motorway all the way until the last 15 minutes drive up from the Rhone valley. There are also flights from the UK directly to Sion airport in the winter making this the fastest transfer time in the Alps. La Tzoumaz is only one ski lift away from Verbier so you can take the new télécabine out of La Tzoumaz up to 2350m and ski down into the centre of Verbier. If the weather is poor you can enjoy a good lunch in Verbier and look around the shops. In the summer the road over this Col is open so you can drive over to Verbier in twenty minutes. The Chalet Elegance is on the edge of the ski piste so just put your skis on at the back door and ski down past the ski bar to the télécabine. This is a new lift and will take you up to 2350m and from there you ski directly down into Verbier. At the end of the day you can ski directly home. This is the best position in the resort. The chalet is easily accessed by car and has stunning views. The huge resort of Verbier awaits you so if you have a snowy day or just feel like a no ski day and prefer a long lunch and a look around the shops take the lift up and then the Savloyeres lift down into Verbier.

12 A sound investment Finance Swiss banks will lend up to 70% of the purchase price and interest rates are the cheapest in Europe currently at around 1% and low fixed rates are available too. This is the cheapest money you will ever borrow! Purchase costs In In Canton Valais the costs are amongst the cheapest not just in Switzerland but in the whole of Europe. Total costs including the notary, taxes etc. are approx 2.5%. Procedure The notary will apply for your foreigner purchase permit if you are buying a new property or ask for the permit to be transferred to you if it is a resale property. This may take some weeks and then you will pay a deposit to the notary and sign the official purchase deed. All payments are made to the notary and for a new property you pay in stages as the building work progresses. If you take 70% finance the bank will take over the stage payments after you have paid the first 30%. Rent and services We can recommend specialist rental companies to rent your property and local companies to clean and service it. Legal requirements The properties on our web site are all authorised for sale to foreigners unless specified otherwise. In this Canton you may not resell within 5 years unless you can show a good reason such as ill health or financial problems. After 5 years you may resell to a foreigner or to a Swiss buyer. Investment In 2012 the Swiss people voted to prohibit all future construction of second homes but building permits issued before then are still valid. 13 One lift up and ski down into Verbier Winter La Tzoumaz is only one ski lift away from Verbier; take the new télécabine and ski down into the centre of Verbier so if you do not feel like putting in a full days skiing it is easy to ski over and indulge yourself in some shopping and a good long lunch. The local slopes go up to Savoleyres at 2350m and offer a choice of blue and red run descents so are good for beginners and intermediates. After skiing have some fun on one of the longest toboggans in Switzerland with a challenging 10km descent down into the village. Part of the Verbier ski area Take the lift up to 2350m and enjoy the largest ski area in Switzerland. With over 410km of pistes and up to 3330m you have a wonderful ski terrain on your doorstep and if you buy the Valais ski card you could ski in Crans Montana or Zermatt if you fancy a change of scenery. The Valais pass gives you the access to the world s largest ski area available on a single lift pass. La Tzoumaz gives easy access to the entire Verbier ski area with over 410km of prepared pistes and some of the best off-piste terrain in the world. After skiing there are a couple of friendly bars and you can enjoy a very good dinner at the newly refurbished and charming restaurant, Les Fougers. It is also easy to drive down to Sion just 20 minutes away and enjoy dinner in one of the restaurants and entertainment.

14 Plenty to do in summer Summer La Tzoumaz is situated on the Bisse du Saxon, part of a 19th Century irrigation system that offers 100 km of gently inclined paths suitable for walking and mountain biking. There are also opportunities for more challenging tours in the high mountains. La Tzoumaz has a tennis court and a heated indoor swimming pool in the village. There is good fishing and paragliding and climbing for the more adventurous. In the summer the Col is open so you can drive over to Verbier directly in just over 20 minutes. Down in the valley within a short drive of the resort are many family and cultural attractions including Lake Geneva, the Grande Dixence dam, the Medieval town of Sion, Aqua Park, Thermal Baths and underground salt mines. There is plenty to do in the area. Golf There are several golf courses in the region including a good 18 hole course in Sion, just 20 minutes away. Crans Montana boasts two splendid courses. The Golf Club Crans-sur-Sierre was established in 1906 and the Severiano Ballesteros course is the home of the prestigious Omega European Masters. The Jack Nicklaus course has been voted as the best 9 holes in Switzerland. Although the course is relatively short it is challenging even for experts and players must be very precise on the fairways. Just outside Crans is the Noas Golf Course, a 9-hole course which is open to everyone, with or without a handicap. Open year-round (even in the ski season), and no reservation is required.
