1 AngTinig St. John the Baptist Parish 140 Pinaglabanan Street, San Juan City 06 September 2015 IKA-23 LINGGO SA KARANIWANG PANAHON (Mk. 7:31-37) Berde +Ang Mabuting Balita ng Panginoon ayon kay San Marcos Noong panahong iyon, pagbabalik ni Hesus mula sa lupain ng Tiro, dumaan siya si Sidon,at nagtuloy sa Lawa ng Galilea, matapos tahakin ang lupain ng Decapolis. Dinala sa kanya ang isang lalaking bingi at utal at ipinamanhik nila na ipatong sa taong ito ang kanyang mga daliri sa mga tainga nito. Pagkatapos, lumura at hinipo ang dila nito. Tumingala si Hesus sa langit at nagbuntonghininga, at sinabi sa tao, Effata, ibig sabihi y Mabuksan! At nakarinig na ito kaninuman; ngunit kung kalian sila pinagbawalaan ay lalo naman nilang ipinamalita ito. Sila y anong buti ng lahat ng kanyang ginawa! Nakakarinig na ang bingi, at nakapagsalita ang pipi! Pagninilay: Nakarinig kaya nakapagsalita! Ang pipi ay pipi dahil hindi siya nakarinig. Paano nga ba niya sasabihin ang hindi niya narinig? Nakapagsalita lang tayo dahil nakarinig tayo sinasambit ng bibig natin ang atin narinig. Natututong makapagsalita ang sanggol dahil kinakausap natin. Namumutawi sa labi nito kung ano ang naririnig sa atin. Dapat ngang maging maingat sa sinasabi sa mga may murang kaisipan tulad ng mga sanggol. Kung maganda ang sinasabi natin sa kanila, maganda rin ang kanilang sasabihin. Nagugulat tayo kung ang isang sanggol o bata ay biglang marunong nang magmura kasi yaon ang naririnig niya sa kanyang paligid. Mahalaga kung ano ang sinasabi sa iba. Ang sinasabi ay parang binhi na itinatanim sa kamalayan at kaisapn lalo nan g mga kabataan. Kung may itinanim, may aasahan tayong bunga. Kung wala itinanim anong asahan natin? Kung

2 mabuti ang itinanim, may aasahang mabuting bu7nga. Kung Masama ang itinanim anong mabuti ang aasahan natin? Ang nakarinig ng mabuti ay magsasalita ng mabuti. Nakakalungkot kung sa buong buhay ay hindi mabuti ang mga narinig; hindi mabuti ang naipunla sa puso t isipan natin. Kung magkagayon. Maituturing tayong mga bingi sa mabuti. Anong silbi ang makarinig kung hindi naman mabuti ang naririnig? Magiging pipi lang tayo sa mga bagay na mabuti. At anong silbi ang makapagsalita kung masama naman ang namumutawi sa bibig? Mabuti na ngang pipi na lang para huwag nang magsalita pa ng masama. Pinagaling ni Hesus ang isang tao na bukod sa pagiging bingi ay pipi pa. kinakatawan niya ang lahat ng nangin bingi at pipi sa salita ng Diyos: bingi dahil pinagkaitan na marinig ang Mabuting Balita ng pagmamahal ng Diyos: bingi dahil pinagkaitan, paano nga ba siya magpapahayag ng hindi niya narinig? Kaya t binuksan ng Panginoon ang kanyang kamalayan sa salita ng Diyos. Binuksan niya ang kanyang puso at isip sa Mabuting Balita. Effata, wika niya na nagbuntonghininga pa tanda ng matinding pagnanais niyang makarinig ito ng Mabuting Balita, nangangati ang dila. Hindi maaring hindi siya magsasalita upang ipamalita ang mabuting kanyang narinig. Maraming nakaririnig ngayon subalit mas masahol pa sa bingi. Baka naman may maitutulong tayo para makarinig naman sila ng Mabuting Balita. Tulad ng isang sanggol na pinagtitiyagaan natin pakinggan tayo upang matutong magsalit, gayundin pagtiyagaan natin sabihin ang salita ng Diyos kahit unti- unting hanggang matutunan nila itong pakinggan. Huwag tayon tumigil hangga t di nabubuksan ang nakasara nilang puso t isipan. Isang araw, magugulat na lang tayong nagsasalita na sila. Pigilan mo man pero magsasalita sila, dahil mayroon silang narinig at mabuti ang kanilang narinig! (Fr. Rey Anthony I. (Salmo 145) ANNOUNCMENT FROM THE MINISTRY OF ECOLOGY BACKGROUND INFORMATION: In late November 2015, world leaders will meet in the U.N. Climate Summit at Paris with the goal of signing a treaty to tackle climate change. Through this petition we urge our political leaders to commit to ambitious climate action and solve this urgent crisis, with the goal of keeping the global temperature increase below 1.5 degree Celsius (aligned with the Catholic Bishops 2014 Lima statement). This is an ambitious ask which requires our economies to drastically cut emissions of greenhouse gases (more information about this 1.5C target here, here and here). Petition signatures will be delivered to world leaders in an event at the U.N. Climate Summit, together with petitions of other interfaith and secular organizations. Ultimately, we aim to raise a strong Catholic voice supporting Pope Francis words: On climate change, there is a clear, definitive and ineluctable ethical imperative to act. In response to Pope Francis encyclical, we at St. John the Baptist Parish Church is inviting everyone to endorse this petition and support this signature campaign. Volunteers of the Ministry of Ecology headed by Sis. Fritzy Siapno with Sis. Tess Silabay, Sis. Josie Lucas and members of the Caristas Manila will be present at the church s side entrance to assist you in this endeavor to be caretakes of Mother Earth. Let us all cooperate and be a part in making this world a beautiful place to live.

4 A Prayer for our Earth (By Pope Francis) All-powerful God, you are present in the whole universe and in the smallest of your creatures. You embrace with your tenderness all that exists. Pour out upon us the power of your love, that we may protect of your love, that we may protect life and beauty. Fill us with peace, that we may live as brothers and sisters, harming no one. O God of the poor, help us to rescue the abandoned and forgotten of this earth, so precious in your eyes. Bring healing to our lives, that we may protect the world and not prey on it, that we may sow beauty, not pollution and destruction. Touch the hearts of those who look only for gain at the expense of the poor and the earth. Teach us to discover the worth of each thing, to be filled with awe and contemplation, to recognize that we are profoundly united with every creatures as we journey towards your infinite light. We thank you for being with us each day. Encourage us, we pray, in our struggle for justice, love and peace. Pope Francis published this prayer in his Laudato Si encyclical, and is meant for sharing with all who believe in a God who is the all-powerful Creator.
