2 Scriptures for Intercessors Before you pray, Remember why you do it! In John 15:16, Jesus said his disciples didn t choose Him, but He chose them. Thank You, Jesus that You have chosen me in my generation to be Your disciple. You chose me and appointed me so that I might bear fruit fruit that will last that whatever I ask in Your name (in Your will and operating under Your authority), the Father will give me. Jesus, according to John 14:11-14, if I believe You when You say that You are in the Father and the Father is in You whoever believes in You will do the works You did, and do even greater things than these, because You are with the Father. You also said You will do whatever we ask in Your name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. Guide me in my prayer time that I might pray in Your will and authority, for Your glory, believing You will do it! Father God, like Abraham before me, I believe You are the God who gives life to the dead and calls into being that which does not exist! Romans 4: 17 In Mark 11:23-26, Jesus disciples asked how He performed a miracle. He answered, Have faith in God. Truly I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, Be taken up and cast into the sea, and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says is going to happen, it will be granted him. Therefore I say to you, all things for which you pray and ask, believe that you have received them, and they will be granted you. Whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father who is in heaven will also forgive you your transgressions. (But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father who is in heaven forgive your transgressions.) Jesus, Luke 5:17 says the power of the Lord was with You to heal the sick. We ask for that power today in Your name, Jesus. Prov 23:12 says we are to apply our hearts to instruction and our ears to words of knowledge. Holy Spirit, instruct me and give me words of knowledge in my prayer time. In Jesus name. Father, You anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power, and He went around doing good and healing all who were under the power of the devil, because You were with Him. I am Your bondservant and desire to do the work of Jesus! Holy Spirit, anoint me to do Kingdom work in my generation! Acts 10:38 Jesus, when the disciples asked You to teach them to pray, You gave them the prayer we all know, but then you added (in Luke 11:8-10) that we are to pray with shameless audacity. Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. Before you pray for needs, ask the Holy Spirit to search you and bring to mind any sin or unforgiveness you need to confess. Ask for His mercy, forgiveness and help. If we say we have no sin, we delude ourselves and the Truth is not in us. If we freely admit and confess our sins, our Father is faithful and true to His promises and will forgive us our sins, cleansing us from all unrighteousness (those things not in conformity with His will and purpose) 1Jn 1:8-9 Thank You, Lord, that because of the sacrifice of Jesus, which has cleansed me of sin and reconciled me to You, I can approach Your throne of grace with confidence. Heb. 4:16, Eph. 3:12

3 Prayer points for those you want to see come to Christ Father, lift the veil from their eyes bringing revelation and enlightenment of what salvation is, and their need for it. 2 Cor. 4:4 Holy Spirit please hover over them and protect them from the plans and schemes of the evil one. John 17:15 God cast down anything that would exalt itself against the knowledge of You, specifically pride and rebellion (these are two of the biggest strongholds that keep people from receiving God s plan for salvation which is faith in Jesus Christ). 2 Cor. 10:5 Father, break and dismantle all other known strongholds thought patterns, opinions on religion, false religion, family heritage (when family follows false religion), materialism, addiction, perversion and fear. Jesus, please bind satan from taking them captive; bind all wicked thoughts and lies satan has tried to place in their mind. (adapted from Dutch Sheets book Intercessory Prayer) Scriptures for Salvation Thank You Lord that You have said You will be found by those who seek You; not, You will become manifest to those who do not ask for You. May it be so in Jesus name. Rom. 10:20 Father, rescue them from the domain of darkness, and transfer them to the kingdom of Your beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, through Christ s blood, the forgiveness of sins. Col. 1:14 Thank You Lord that You have made a way for salvation through Jesus. I proclaim in Jesus name that they will repent, and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins; and they shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. In the name of Jesus Christ. Acts 2:38 Father, I believe You desire all these people be saved and come to a knowledge of the truth (1 Tim. 2:3-4). Therefore, I stand in agreement with Your desire and proclaim that they will believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and be saved, them and their household. In the name of Jesus Christ. Acts 16:31 Thank You Lord that those who are far off, may be brought near to You though the blood of Jesus (Eph. 2:13). Please call these people to Yourself, Father, that they might be reconciled to You through faith in Jesus. 2 Cor. 5:18, Ro. 5:11

4 Scriptures for Those who accepted Jesus but have since turned away from Him to walk in the flesh: Thank you Lord, that they will repent and turn away from their transgressions, so that iniquity (sin that has become a lifestyle) may not become a stumbling block for them. In Jesus name I pray. Ezekiel 18:30 Lord, they seem to be going astray like sheep, but I ask that you help them return to their shepherd and guardian of their soul, Jesus Christ. Based on 1 Peter 2:25 Thank You Lord that You take no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but rather that the wicked turn back from their evil ways. Holy Spirit, help them turn back from their evil ways. Ezekiel 33:11 Scriptures on Deliverance Addictions, anger, perversion, mental illness, and other strongholds. Jesus came to set them free from such bondage. I proclaim in Jesus name that these people will submit to God, resist the devil, and the devil will flee from them. They will draw near to God and He will draw near to them. Their hands will be cleansed and their hearts will be purified and they will no longer suffer with double- mindedness. James 4:7-8 God grant them repentance leading to the knowledge of the truth that they may come to their senses and escape from the snare of the devil, having been held captive to do his will. I ask in Jesus name! 2 Tim Thank You Lord that there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, for the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set them free from the law of sin and of death. In the authority and name of Jesus, I command spirits of condemnation away from them. Rom. 8:1-2 Praise You Lord! For You delight in bringing their souls out of prison, so that they may give thanks to Your name. The righteous will surround them, and You will deal bountifully with them. Ps. 142:7 Thank You Lord that You will rescue their lives from oppression and violence in Jesus name. Ps 103:12 Thank You, Jesus, that You came to destroy the works of the devil. 1 Jn 3:8. I stand in agreement with You, Jesus, and proclaim the works of the devil are being destroyed in their lives even now. In Jesus precious name. Amen. Thank You Jesus that You came to destroy the works of the devil. 1 Jn 3:8. Jesus, please destroy the works of the devil in their lives.

5 Scriptures on Inner Healing Emotionally wounded or suffer from prolonged sadness, often results in difficulty forgiving, guilt or shame. Search them, O God, and know their hearts; try them and know their anxious thoughts. See if there be any hurtful way in them, and lead them in the everlasting way. I ask in Jesus name. Ps. 139:23-24 Thank You Jesus that forgiveness brings freedom and inner healing! You said if we forgive others, our heavenly Father will also forgive us. (Matt. 6:14-15). Holy Spirit, please move in power to help these people forgive. Flood them with Your mercy and grace that it may overflow to others. Amen. Thank You Lord that you want us to walk as children of Light all things become visible when exposed by the light, for everything that becomes visible is light, for this reason it says Awake, sleeper, and arise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you. May things in darkness come to light for their healing and deliverance in Jesus name. Eph. 6:9, Thank You Lord, that You did not give them a spirit of fear, but of power, love and a sound mind in Jesus name! 2 Tim. 1:7 Lord, please send Your Spirit to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners. Lord, I ask You to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning and a place on them a garment of praise. Is. 61:1-3 Scriptures for Physical Healing Praise You Lord! You are the God who performs miracles; thank You that You display Your power among the people. Ps. 77:14 Thank You Lord that You heal those who are sick and say to them, the Kingdom of God as come near to you. Luke 10:9 Heal them O Lord and they will be healed, save them and they will be saved (in the name of Jesus). Jer. 17:14 Thank You God that You are the God that heals. You will come and heal them in Jesus name. Ex. 15:26, Matt. 8:7 Lord, in Psalm 30, David prayed: I will extol You, O LORD, for You have lifted me up, and have not let my enemies rejoice over me. LORD my God, I cried to You for help, and You healed me. LORD, You have brought up my soul from Sheol; You have kept me alive, that I would not go down to the pit. Father, I ask you will do the same for those I am praying for in Jesus name. Thank You Lord that they will bless the Lord with all their soul and forget none of His benefits: He pardons all their iniquities, He heals all their diseases. In Jesus name. Psalm 103:3 Lord, we bring to You many who are demon possessed; and You will cast out the spirits with a word, and heal all those who are ill, in order that what was spoken through Isaiah the prophet might be fulfilled saying, He Himself took their infirmities and carried away their diseases. He is Jesus, our King and Lord. Matt. 8:16-17

6 Scriptures for Marriages or other family relationships Father, help us to always be positive encouragers. To edify and build up; and never to tear down or destroy with the help of Your Holy Spirit. Rom. 15:2 Help all wives be subject to their husband as is fitting in the Lord and help husbands love their wives and not be embittered against them. Help children be obedient to their parents in all things, for this is well- pleasing to You. And help parents not exasperate their children, so that they will not lose heart. In Jesus name. Col. 3:18-21 Thank You Lord that You will make them harmonious, sympathetic, brotherly, kindhearted, and humble in spirit; not returning evil for evil or insult for insult, but giving a blessing instead, for they were called for the purpose that we might inherit a blessing in Jesus Name. 1 Pet. 3:8 Thank You Lord that they will let no root of bitterness spring up between them to cause trouble. Hebrews 12:15 If any roots of bitterness have taken root in their relationships, Lord, send Your Holy Spirit to cleanse those places and replace them with love. Thank You Lord that You are reconciling all these families through the blood of Christ to Yourself and to each other. 2 Cor. 5:19. Prayers for Various Needs Hearing God s voice Thank You Lord, that You are the good shepherd. You go ahead of Your sheep and Your sheep follow You because they know Your voice. (Jn. 10:4) Because of my salvation, through faith in Jesus, I too am Your sheep. I believe I too can hear Your voice. Jobs, court cases, etc. Lord, I believe You will work out Your plans for my life- - for Your faithful love, O LORD, endures forever. Ps. 138:8 My times are in Your hands; deliver me from the hands of my enemies, from those who pursue me. Let Your face shine on Your servant; save me in Your unfailing love. Ps. 31:15-16 Financial Provision Heavenly Father, according to Matt. 6:31-32, You know of my need for food, drink and clothing. Help me to trust in Your provision instead of running after these things as if You do not exist and care for me. Anger Management Father, I want to walk according to Your ways. Help me be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger; for the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God. James 1:19-20 Fruit of the Spirit Lord, Galatians 5 says that those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires and now live by the Spirit. Help me walk in step with the Spirit, and produce in me love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self- control.

7 After you pray Sometimes after we pray, especially if we are praying with the person in prayer ministry, we walk away feeling sad because we hurt for them or we can even feel a little oppressed by the forces of darkness that didn t like us fighting against them. If so, I recommend the prayer below, Adapted from the cutting free prayer printed in The Sword of the Spirit, The Word of God a handbook for praying God s Word by Joy Lamb Father in heaven, thank you that you have brought these people into my path that I might partner with You through prayer on their behalf. Please cleanse me of any sadness, negativity or despair I feel as a result of praying for them. If my time in intercession has tempted me to be angry, judgmental, or impatient, cleanse me of those temptations and replace them with love, joy, humility and peace. If any evil opposition has come against me or oppressed me in any way, by the authority of Jesus name I command all evil spirits to depart now and go wherever Jesus would send you. Come Holy Spirit, renew me, fill me anew with Your power, Your Life and Your joy. Strengthen me where I have felt week and clothe me with Your light. Fill me with Your Life. Lord, protect me and my family/home from all sickness, harm and accidents. You, oh Lord, are the wall of fire around us and the glory within us (Zech. 2:5)
