Potluck supper meetings: 2 nd Monday year round. Activities include: Scrabble, shuffleboard, carpet bowling, floor curling, bochee, cribbage and fun nights. $15 / person annually. Minimum age 55 yrs. Activities include floor curling, bus tours, mystery tours, socials, supper club, brunches, potluck lunches and more. Mainly a social support group. $10, annual. Minimum age 50 years.

5 5 PIONEER HOUSE CLUB Avenue, Fort Saskatchewan, AB T8L 1Y6 Contact 1: Centre receptionist, Weekly activities include games, singers, and card games. Annual events include Canada Day BBQ, inter-club games, pancake breakfast and bake sale. The drop-in centre at Pioneer House is open Monday through Friday, 9am 3pm. Soup and sandwich luncheons 2 nd Thursday monthly at 12 noon (non-members welcome). The club s main purpose is recreation, culture and caring for seniors. $10, annually. Minimum age 50 years. SENIORS CURLING LEAGUE c/o 199 Georgian Way, Sherwood Park, AB T8A 2W9 Contact 1: Alec Kurylo, President, SPCC Office akurylo@telus.net Playing Monday and Wednesday from October through March. Games begin at 9:30 am at the Sherwood Park Curling Club located at the Glen Allan Recreation Complex, 199 Georgian Way, Sherwood Park. For seniors 55 years and over. $7 per game.

6 6 SENIORS UNITED NOW #15, 2016 Sherwood Drive, Sherwood Park, AB T8A 3X3 Contact 1: Office (Lynn) Toll Free Third Tuesday monthly at Bethel Lutheran Church, 298 Bethel Drive, Sherwood Park, Sept-Nov/Jan-June SUN consists of a dedicated team of individuals operating as a non-partisan, non-profit society. We inform Seniors of programs, benefits and available services and how to access them. The Sherwood Park/Strathcona County Chapter of SUN meets monthly. Speakers are invited to our meetings. We also network with other Seniors groups and community organizations about health care, housing and long term care, transportation, the cost of medications, the money crunch and other concerns. SUN advocates on members behalf for information and positive action through our local politicians. Be a part of SUN and bring your experience and concerns to the table. Join with others to advocate for change and improvements as well as celebrating successes. SINGERS OF NOTE CHOIR th Street, Edmonton, AB T5A 4B4 Contact 1: Janet Dashtgard, Contact 2: Mary Schweitzer, Mondays, weekly at 12:45pm at St. Thomas Anglican Church, 4 Raven Drive, Sherwood Park, September through May. This choir is open to all voices aged 55 years and over. Please call for details. New singers always welcome!

7 7 SHERWOOD PARK 55 PLUS CLUB 50A Spruce Avenue, Sherwood Park (next to Log Cabin) (Mail: P. O. Box 79065, Sherwood Park, AB T8A 2G1) Contact 1: Answering service, Weekly activities include bridge, euchre, pool, snooker, cards, floor curling and bocci. Monthly general meeting (2 nd Thursday), potluck suppers and birthday celebrations. Annual Christmas party and Strawberry Tea. Bus tours and raffle fund raisers held occasionally. Activities calendar on web site and a printed bi-monthly calendar available for pick up at the Centre. $25 annual fee or $1/day drop in fee. Minimum age 55 years. SOUTH COOKING LAKE SENIORS DROP-IN CENTRE c/o 102, South Cooking Lake Road, Sherwood Park, AB T8E 1J1 Contact 1: Bill, Contact 2: Vi, every Tuesday, 1pm, Drop-In Centre. Activities include cards, horseshoes, darts, cribbage and bus tours. Annual Fall general meeting and election of officers. Art classes every Tuesday, 9am. Potluck at noon every second Tuesday monthly. Wheelchair accessible. $5, annual. Minimum age 55 years.

8 8 SOUTH EAST EDMONTON SENIORS ASSOCIATION ACTIVITY CENTRE Street N.W., Edmonton, AB T6C 2X8 Contact: Receptionist, Strathcona County seniors welcome. Outreach services, foot care, woodworking shop, craft room, card & pool rooms, auditorium, library, dining room. Breakfasts served 8:30 10am, lunches served 11:30am 1pm, Monday - Friday (plus daily special). Suppers held every Wednesday plus the last Thursday each month ($9.00 ea.). Drop-in programs: bridge, cribbage, badminton, bingo, carpet bowling, etc. Registered programs: line dancing, clogging, zumba, art classes, drama club, choir, pickle ball, keep fit, widow/widowers club (second Mon. monthly), and more. Wheelchair accessible. Activity centre open Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 4:30pm, Tuesday to Thursday from 8:30am to 8:30pm, Saturdays from 9am - noon. $30 annual. Minimum age 55 years (to vote) but younger people can be associate members.

9 9 NORTH EDMONTON SENIORS ASSOCIATION Avenue, Edmonton, AB T5C 3H7 Contact 1: Receptionist, Seniors from Strathcona County are welcome. Programs include yoga, badminton, fitness programs, choir, crafts, garden club, quilting, line and round dancing, snooker, chat and travel clubs and more. There is plenty of free parking and the facility is wheelchair accessible. Open Monday and Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm; Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, 8:30am to 9pm. Evening programs also offered to 18+ but in the event of a wait list for a program, seniors will be given first refusal. Membership fee: $30 annually for 55 years and over; $60 annually OR $30/season for under 55 years. Jan/13
