(We will certainly visit the Ghost Ranch to paint as one of our painting locations). Albert and Jeanine have stayed at the Abiquiu Inn many times, we recommend it, and we will be staying there for the week. It is not imperative in order to join us that you stay at the inn. Every Artist is welcomed at the Inn no matter where you are staying, i.e. Ghost Ranch or elsewhere, etc.

2 Page 2 of 6 The inn itself has a variety of accommodations situated on acres of well taken care of land, surrounded by large mature trees, etc. It has an excellent restaurant. If you decide to stay at the inn there is a 10% workshop discount, Just mention you are in the Albert Handell workshop. Anyone there can help you with your accommodations. 3 Page 3 of 6 Sunday, July 21 Saturday, July 27, 2013 Tuition: $ This Abiquiu/Ghost Ranch Mentoring Paint-A-Long week is truly unique, not only is Northern New Mexico beautiful and very paintable, on the last day, Saturday, July 27 th, we will visit Santa Fe and Albert s studio. Santa Fe, is the 2 nd or 3 rd largest Art Market in the Country this allows us to combine painting and career building in a unique way. The mentoring program is designed for those who want an after workshop experience; it is open to anyone who has either taken a workshop with Mr. Handell, or has taken at least one workshop with an artist who gives painting workshops in Pastels or Oils. The week starts on Sunday afternoon, July 21, from 4pm to 6pm, we will meet for our first session in the studio at the historic Abiquiu Inn. At 4:30pm, Albert will give out location maps and important information on Plein Air Painting as well as discuss details about the week s schedule, and start with his information on career building. At 6pm, we will have our first workshop dinner together (individual checks please) at the Abiquiu Inn.

4 Page 4 of 6 One of the Courtyards at the Abiquiu Inn Each morning we will all meet on location at 8:30am, and paint no later than noon, and Albert will paint along with you. From noon to 2:00pm will be a lunch break. From 2pm to 4pm, we will meet in the studio for our daily critique, instruction and for eye-opening career building information From 4pm 7pm, when the light is more beautiful and we are rested, we will paint our second painting of the day in the afternoon Mr. Handell will paint along with you for the first hour or so and then give individual help at the easel (optional). Our painting subject matter will vary from old tucked away adobe buildings, surrounded by magnificent old growth trees, to wide open breathtaking vistas and skies, included with the most amazing rock formations and mountain formations to desert fields and gentle streams to an endless variety of subject matter at Ghost Ranch.

5 Our daily schedule varies slightly from day-to-day. For example.there are one hour visits to Georgia O Keefe s home in Abiquiu during the afternoons. Details will be included with your tuition deposit receipt. Page 5 of 6 Saturday morning is open for you to visit suggested Santa Fe Galleries and Albert s Studio. And later at 6pm we will meet at a local restaurant, The Rio Chama Restaurant, 414 Old Santa Fe Trail, , for our final farewell dinner. 6 Page 6 of 6 A receipt will be sent to you for your tuition deposit. We will appreciate receiving the $ balance on your tuition by May 21, 2013, two months before the first day of the program. Receiving the full tuition two months prior to the program will help us from overbooking. Refund Policy: After May 21, 2012, and your tuition has been paid in full, a full refund minus the nonrefundable deposit is offered to you for any reason, at any time, until July 7, 2013, two weeks prior to the first day of the program. Due to the very rare and low artist/student ratio, no cash or credit refunds can be offered after this date. But, if an emergency does arise, and you can t attend, no cash refund will be given, but you will receive an $ tuition credit available for you to use at any Paint-A-Long Mentoring Program, good for the next two years. Will Albert actually Paint with us? Yes, in this program, Albert paints with you daily also, while residing in close proximity, the participating artists will experience Albert up close as he paints allowing you to see, and understand the process in more detail and depth. Painting near him or next to him, or if you wish painting the same motif while standing behind him, one realizes and learns in a unique way. You will not only view how he begins, develops and finishes, but as important as anything you will clearly see what Albert eliminates and what and how he emphasizes what s important through out the painting process. This is an eye opener. The program is designed to be a very productive and also enjoyable week.

7 Page 7of 7 The Daily Schedule: I am pleased to announce that my Come Paint-A-Long with Albert Handell Mentoring Program has taken a giant step forward. It s a program so many of you have requested. This is an exciting week geared to be a step beyond a workshop, a follow-up to a workshop, where we will all paint together during the day both morning and afternoon. In the afternoon, Albert will paint for an hour or so and afterwards he will give help at the easel (optional) In the evening, we will have our critique of the day s painting and all other instruction and career building information will be saved until then. What is covered in the Career Building Part of the Program Albert will explain how he has built his own career and will give you important insights and information on how to individually build your career. Some of the general information covered: How to find and get into a gallery and what to expect from your gallery What describes a good gallery; what is your obligation to your gallery What regional and/or national shows should one enter as a Pastelist and or an oil Painter. What to do if you are accepted or if you receive a prize How is networking done? Why is it important? The importance of Being-in-Print ; and how to go about getting into print What makes up an impressive portfolio What strengthens it or what weakens a portfolio How to organize your office and how to interweave it with your painting The tax advantages of declaring yourself an Artist no matter how many paintings you do or do not sell during the year (this alone could be worth the tuition itself) Should I join a co-op gallery? What makes up a meaningful co-op gallery All presented to you in the evenings after the day s painting. All questions are answered in detail Spouses and significant others are welcome at all times
