The ARC Young Leaders Camp (ARCYLC) is a unique and impactful program developed by ARC Refreshments Corporation, the Philippines licensed bottler of RC Cola beverages. Launched in 2011, the ARCYLC is part of ARC s commitment to develop and empower the youth of today. The ARCYLC is looking for underserved yet exceptional Filipino student leaders who are actively involved in school and community organizations, have a good academic record, and have a passion to lead, create and change the society. This packet contains all the information you need about how to become part of the ARCYLC journey. Do study this packet carefully and familiarize yourself with the program s objectives, qualifications for eligibility, and how to go about the nomination and selection process. 3 About the ARC Young Leaders Camp Created in 2011 by ARC Refreshments Corporation, the licensed bottler of RC Cola products in the Philippines, the ARC Young Leaders Camp (ARCYLC) aims to be a breeding ground for future Filipino leaders. The camp is an annual gathering of forty (40) of the most outstanding student leaders selected from colleges and universities in Metro Manila. For the first time this year, the ARCYLC will open up its door to fifty (50) student leaders and to colleges and universities in the Provinces of Laguna, Rizal, Bulacan and Cavite. The three-day camp involves talks and panel discussions, team-building activities and group workshops. Well-known and renowned leaders from the government, civil society, media and other industries have shared their leadership stories with ARCYLC delegates in the past and have inspired them to lead, create and change the society for the better. Camp Mission The camp s mission is to train and prepare future leaders and instill in them the ARC Refreshments Corporation s core values of integrity, discipline, resourcefulness and teamwork. Camp Vision The camp s vision is to have an inspired and empowered Filipino youth who will build a strong but sincere foundation for the society where they will define new limits and accomplish new goals. About ARC Refreshments Corporation Started in 2002, ARC Refreshments Corporation is the exclusive Philippine licensee of RC Cola products. Under the guiding hand of its founders, the company flourished and is now a major player in the beverage industry. 4 Program Eligibility Applicants of the ARC Young Leaders Camp must meet the following qualifications: Filipino citizen Enrolled in a school/college/university in Metro Manila, Laguna, Rizal, Cavite or Bulacan Not older that 20 years old at the time of the camp First time applicant to the ARC Young Leaders Camp Bona fide freshman or sophomore college student taking up any four (4) or five (5) year course Currently a scholar from any organization (for students enrolled in private colleges/universities) Belongs to the top 25% of his/her graduating high school class An active leader or officer in any campus and/or community organization (student government, SK, parish youth club, sports club, etc.) Has excellent communication skills Passion to learn and serve others Has not been subjected to any disciplinary case Has not been charged and/or convicted in any civil or criminal case Application Process The applicant must submit all requirements and forms indicated in the ARCYLC Application Packet to the ARCYLC Selection Committee. The ARCYLC Selection Committee will only review applications with complete information and requirements. Deadline of submission of application is on November 11, The ARCYLC Selection Committee will invite the top 150 applicants for a panel interview with ARC Refreshments Corporation executives. After deliberating the applicant s information and based on the outcome of the panel interview, the committee will select the top fifty (50) student leaders who will participate in the 6 th ARC Young Leaders Camp.
