1 Greetings! Thank you for your interest in completing your Student Placement with The Salvation Army Youth Outreach Service (YOS). The first step in the process is the completion and return of the attached Student Placement Application Forms. Following the successful processing of the paperwork you will need to undertake YOS Student Placement training/orientation and complete an interview with the Volunteer Coordinator before a placement at YOS is offered. Everyone wishing to be a Student Placement at YOS needs to obtain a Suitability for Working with Children and Young People Blue Card from the Commission for Children and Young People and Child Guardian prior to commencing Student Placement work. Please refer to the Commission s website for more information. (bluecard.qld.gov.au) Please contact YOS on between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday for further information on volunteering.
