3 COURSE COMMUNICATIONS As winter approaches let s hope that the Farmers Almanac proves to be accurate and a shift in the weather pattern brings much needed precipitation to the area. Through November 22, Black Creek had received only of rainfall since April 1. At this point, we will take precipitation in any form. Over the next few months routine maintenance will consist of changing hole-locations on a limited basis, bunker care, and occasionally mowing greens to remove debris and keep the putting surfaces relatively smooth. Some additional tasks that are slated for completion include: 1.) Irrigation repair in 10 fairway 2.) Covering of select tees and green collars that are prone to winter damage 3.) Some much needed tree trimming and tree removal where necessary 4.) Removal of the steps at #5 green and construction of a new walking path 5.) Adding sand to select bunkers to improve their playability As a reminder, the restrooms behind #6 green will be winterized during the first week of December and will remain closed until March. 5 Christmas Take & Bake HOLIDAY CLUB NEWS & EVENTS Relax this Christmas and leave the cooking to us! The Take n Bake Christmas dinners include turkey and ham with all the traditional fixin s, AND dessert for six people. Orders can be placed starting Thursday, December 1st through Tuesday, December 20th by NOON!. Orders will be available for pick-up on Saturday, December 24th from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM. To place an order, contact Kittie Diggs , kdiggs@blackcreekclub.com. Black Creek Dining Incentive Every Tuesday, we will draw one member s name from the entire membership. If that member or their spouse had dinner at the club (minimum $30 in food) the previous Thursday, Friday or Saturday night, they will win the amount of the pot in food and beverage credit. If no winner, Black Creek will add $100 to the pot for the next week s drawing. Happy Hour Every Thursday Every Thursday will be an ALL DAY Happy Hour! With $1.00 OFF of house wines, $1.00 OFF of house liquors, domestic beer $2.75 and import beer $3.75. Continue to enjoy on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Sunday Brunch Enjoy a casual day at the Clubhouse with our Brunch Menu from 11:30AM-3:00PM! We offer weekly breakfast and lunch specials. Reservations are requested, $3 Mimosas and Bloody Marys! Please contact one of the professional staff if you have any questions or to try the service Winter Par 3 Tournament Saturday, December 10 11:30 am Shotgun Start Join us as we put a bow on the 2016 golf season with our 3 rd Annual Winter Par 3 Tournament. Sean and Scott have designed 18 par 3 holes that will require skilled shot making, team work and a whole lot of hot chocolate! Each two person team will be placed in a flight based on handicap and the holes will be played in multiple formats including, scrambles, alternate shot, best ball, and worst ball to name a few. The entry fee is $25.00 per player and this includes prizes, hot hands and hot chocolate. This is sure to be an awesome day of golf and good times so please call the golf shop to sign up.
