4 Winter Escape From 1st November 2016 until 28th February 2017, The Merrion is pleased to offer overnight accommodation from a special rate of 330 for two people sharing a Standard room. This rate is inclusive of full Irish breakfast the following morning. Situated just a short stroll from Grafton Street, The Merrion is ideally located for a spot of Christmas shopping. Winter Family Getaway The Winter Season, and particularly Christmas, is a unique time for families and a short break is not just a treat, it is practically a necessity! Ideally located in the centre of Dublin, the restaurant is a wonderfully atmospheric, elegant and charming venue for a company Christmas gathering or family get together. For the month of December there will be a piano accompaniment for dinner on Friday and Saturday evenings, while 1940 s harmony trio, the Bugle Babes, will perform live during Sunday lunch, with a special visit from Father Christmas. The Merrion s Festive Afternoon Tea Recover after Christmas shopping; give the family a pre-christmas treat or simply get in the mood for the holidays. Whatever the reason, Afternoon Tea in the beautiful Georgian Drawing Rooms, surrounded by the hotel s priceless collection of art and antiques, will be an occasion to remember and savour. These elegant rooms were designed in the 1760 s for their owners to entertain and relax in, and this is exactly what guests of The Merrion enjoy doing today. 6 The Cellar Bar Sunday Brunch Renowned for its warm ambience and friendly atmosphere, The Cellar s vaulted ceilings, many nooks and comfortable corners provide the perfect setting to relax and unwind with one of our specially created festive cocktails. Sunday Brunch will be served from 11.30am to 4.00pm throughout the month of December with a special visit from Father Christmas. Christmas Day Lunch & Dinner Sunday 25th December The Merrion residents and guests are invited to enjoy a delicious Christmas Lunch or Dinner in The Cellar Restaurant. Chef Ed Cooney s 5-course menu will delight guests who enjoy a traditional Christmas meal. For added atmosphere, decorations, traditional party favourites and crackers come as a particularly festive garnish! The Merrion Christmas Arrive on Christmas Eve and check into your luxurious room, complete with tempting seasonal delights. Anticipate Christmas by the crackling log fires in our lavishly dressed Drawing Rooms, unwind in the sumptuous Tethra Spa or relax in the warm ambiance of our cocktail bar, No 23, before enjoying festive Christmas carols that evening. At 6.00pm on Christmas Eve, all our younger guests are invited to meet with Father Christmas around the magical Christmas tree in The Front Hall, where each child will receive a Christmas gift, and Mums and Dads can enjoy a glass of mulled wine and mince pies.

For guests who would prefer to extend their celebrations, on St Stephen s Day, December 26th, The Merrion is offering two top level tickets to the renowned Leopardstown Christmas Race Festival, complete with coach transfers to and from the hotel. Designed to be used separately or in combination, the salons vary in size and décor. The Wellesley and Wellington rooms each seat up to sixty guests for a private dinner or eighty for a festive cocktail reception. The Fitzgerald room holds thirty for dinner whilst our Dangan, Pembroke and Waterloo rooms are perfect for an intimate dinner for twelve.
