The material flow controller (MFC) allows a simple and flexible control and coordination of the material flows in warehouses and distribution centers. Components of different producers can be controlled flexibly with the MCF to guarantee an independence from the software of the components producer. The MFC receives transport orders from the warehouse management system LFS or another software/host system and executes those to lead the transport units to their destination. With the attached visualization, the user has a continuous overview of the current material flow and can intervene if necessary. The material flow controller can be integrated into an existing warehouse management system or as an independent system.
