1 National Sales Network (NSN) Houston is celebrating 17 years of advancing sales professionals by having one of our best years ever in After winning Chapter of the Year at the 2015 NSN National Conference, we have kept the momentum going by increasing our membership with 20+ new financial members each month so far this year. In fact, we reached our membership goal established by the NSN national office in April By following the missions set forth by the NSN national office, and by focusing on the initiative of diversifying our organization through strategic partnerships locally, NSN Houston has solidified itself as one of the premiere organizations for professionals in the Houston area. This year, we have partnered with the Houston Area Urban League Young Professionals (HAULYP), National Association of Black Accountants (NABA), University of Houston at Victoria MBA Student and Alumni Association, Business Latin-American Association, Texas Black Expo and Hispanic Alliance for Career Enhancement (HACE) on several events which also generated new & diverse membership for our chapter. We ve also committed to increasing our social media presence on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, & LinkedIn. Through these platforms, we recently launched our first social media campaign Motivation Monday which highlights personal quotes that motivate our leadership team. 11 NSN MISSION STATEMENT CAREER DEVELOPMENT We hosted a Talent Acquisition Day with one of our corporate sponsors, Medtronic. At this event Medtronic had their entire talent acquisition team in town from the corporate office. They gave a presentation on their organization, discussed their open positions in Houston and other areas and gave advice on the type of skill sets needed to work at Medtronic. We had over 40 potential candidates in attendance. They conducted on the spot interviews and gave feedback the same day. Four NSN Houston members made it to the final round of interviews and two were made offers with Medtronic. The value of NSN Houston was immediately recognized and we signed up 9 new members at this event.

12 NSN MISSION STATEMENT NETWORKING FORUM We hosted our annual State of the Organization Jazz Brunch. At the brunch, we introduced the new 2016 leadership team, gave an overview of the organization, highlighted our upcoming events and recognized our corporate sponsors. We also offered half-off of professional resume services exclusive to NSN Houston members only. We had over 70 people in attendance. After seeing the benefit of being a member of NSN Houston, we had over 10 people join the chapter.

13 NSN MISSION STATEMENT CAREER DEVELOPMENT We hosted a Swim with the Sharks Sales Panel with VPs and Managers from Morgan Stanley, Microsoft, Baxter, J&J, Genentech, Comcast and Sanofi Genzyme. By hosting this diverse sales panel, the audience was able to gather a better insight into the various companies and ask very candid questions to the panel. The feedback from this event was well received and NSN Houston was able to establish itself as the premiere sales organization in Houston. We had over 50 people in attendance and several new members joined the chapter at this event.

14 NSN MISSION STATEMENT TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT We hosted a Sales Seminar with the Success Doctor Shirley Davis. We had over 60 people in attendance. NSN Houston partnered with the Houston Area Urban League Young Professionals (HAULYP). Not only did this partnership help create and strengthen our relationships with another diverse organization, we also signed up 11 new members.

15 NSN INTIATIVE STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIPS We have focused several of our events on Strategic Partnerships with other diverse organizations to increase our membership diversity, an initiative set forth by the national office. We have established strategic partnerships with the National Association of Black Accountants (NABA), Houston Area Urban League Young Professionals (HAULYP), University of Houston at Victoria MBA Student and Alumni Association, Business Latin-American Association, National Black MBA Association (NBMBAA) and Texas Black Expo. By establishing these partnerships, NSN Houston has ascended to one of the top professional organizations in the Houston area.

16 ENCOURAGING PHILANTROPHY BUSINESS CLOTHES DRIVE We hosted our 3 rd Annual Business Clothes Drive. Both women and men s clothes were collected. The women s clothes were donated to Dress For Success, an organization that helps women who can t afford business attire. The men s clothes were donated to Career Gear, an organization that helps men who can t afford business attire. This event is unique to NSN Houston.

17 ENCOURAGING PHILANTROPHY STOP HUNGER NOW We volunteered at the Stop Hunger Now warehouse in Houston. We packaged 12,744 meals that were shipped to Zambia. The meals helped to feed thousands of orphans and vulnerable children that attend school. For most of the children, this one meal (lunch) was their only meal for the day.

18 WORKING WITH STUDENTS SCHOLARSHIP EFFORTS We participated in a speed networking event with the business and marketing students at Texas Southern University and provided immediate feedback after the event to the students. We also gave the students a $1000 Scholarship on behalf of NSN Houston. Our efforts with the students in the community has not gone unnoticed, the Department Chair of Accounting and Business Management at San Jacinto College asked several of the NSN Houston Leadership Team to be a part of their advisory committee. On this committee, we will provide guidance to the college with respect to employer needs, curriculum evaluation and faculty recommendations.

19 SOCIAL MEDIA INTIATIVES Created flyer to increase social media presence This flyer is unique to NSN Houston Our overall social media presence includes followers on Instagram and Twitter, likes on Facebook and members on LinkedIn combined. We have a contact list of professionals

20 SOCIAL MEDIA INTIATIVES For 2016, we started a new initiative on our Instagram and Facebook pages, Motivation Monday. This initiative highlights our personal quotes of motivation.
