1 Presentation Variale speed drives Counication uses and networks Magelis XBT Modicon M340 Modus serial link Presentation The drive is designed to eet the confi guration requireents found in the ain industrial counication installations. It includes the Modus and CANopen counication protocols as standard. It can also e connected to other industrial counication uses and networks using one of the counication cards or odules that are availale as options. ATV 61 Exaple of confi guration on Modus serial link Magelis XBT Modicon M340 CANopen achine us I/O XCC encoder ATV 61 Sensors Exaple of confi guration on CANopen achine us 1 Standard configuration The drive is equipped with a control I/O card 1 which integrates: I/O terinals, coprising: v Six logic inputs: LI1 to LI6 v Three analog inputs: AI1 to AI3 v Two analog outputs: AOV and AOC v Two relay outputs: R1 and R A Modus/CANopen counication port, that is accessed on an RJ45 connector The Modus/CANopen counication port is specifi cally for controlling the drive via a PLC or another type of controller. It is also used for connecting dialogue and confi guration tools: Reote display terinal Reote graphic display terinal SoMove setup software SoMove Moile software for oile phones Siple Loader and Multi-Loader confi guration tools Counication cards for industrial applications Several counication cards for industrial applications are availale as options. These cards are used in place of the drive's control I/O card 1 (1) The following counication cards are availale: CANopen Daisy chain card (optiized solution for daisy chain connection to CANopen achine us, see page 6048/6) DeviceNet card PROFIBUS DP card Counication odules The drive can e connected to other counication uses and networks via odules that are availale as options: Modus TCP network via the Ethernet/Modus ridge Fipio us via the Fipio/Modus gateway (1) To reduce installation costs when replacing the control I/O card 1 with a counication card, HpppM and HpppN4 drives can e ordered without a control I/O card. 2 Functions, characteristics Variale speed drives Counication uses and networks Functions All the functions of the drive can e accessed via the counication uses and networks: Control Monitoring Adjustent Confi guration The speed control and reference ay coe fro different control sources: Logic input or analog I/O terinals Counication us or network Reote display terinal The advanced functions of the drive can e used to anage switching of these control sources according to the requireents of the application. The assignent of the counication periodic I/O data can e selected using the network confi guration software. The drive is controlled using the CiA 40 native profi le. Counication is onitored according to criteria specifi c to each protocol.
