14 OPTIONAL EXTRAS... As a family run developer, City Builders understands that there is no one standard set of specifications that can or should apply to all customers, but there are standard expectations as to what any new home should include. Our standard specifications have been prepared having regard to an above base build standard which one would expect from a retail builder, but also to the expectation of many customers who wish to self-occupy their home or rent it as a tenanted property for investment purposes. The list price of our properties have been based on this inclusive specification. We set ourselves apart from most other retail builders by including these full specifications upfront within our pricing, rather than including a simple base build which excludes (or hides) essential fixtures and fittings which then get charged to customers as a variation (and generally at an inflated price). This approach is in line with our family values of trust, honesty and integrity. However, we do offer scope in increase the quality of fixtures or otherwise vary our build plans and specifications should customers require this. Unlike other retail builders, customers will find that we are always too happy to help with changes, and will find that our pricing for any such changes is both fair and reasonable.
