3 3 Introduction Brockenhurst College offers a varied Higher Education programme, set nearby our New Forest campus and providing a well-equipped and stimulating environment for higher level study. Foundation Degrees are degree-level qualifications that combine academic study with workplace learning. Designed in association with employers, and focusing on a particular job or profession, they will equip you with the relevant skills, knowledge and understanding alongside academic results. They are two-year courses, with an option to progress to a BA (Hons) upon completion. BA (Hons) Top-up (Early Childhood) This is delivered in partnership with the University of Chichester. Higher National Diploma (HND) Courses focus on practical learning and experience, providing you with the necessary skills to start or develop your chosen career. Recognised and valued by employers, HNDs are mainly assessed through assignments, projects and practical tasks undertaken throughout the course. They offer an alternative to degree-level study and Brockenhurst College fees are extremely competitive. Upon successful completion you may also progress to the final year of degree study at a university. We aim to structure courses to enable you to combine work with study and career development, so that you may earn and learn. Professional Diplomas develop existing skills, build experience and support on-going career advancement. Access Courses are designed for those wishing to enter degree level study but who currently lack the relevant qualifications. Foundation Diploma in Art & Design is a recognised course for those aiming to study at a specialist university or to enter the creative professions.
