Serial Numbers Compensation Policy Bosch will authorize reasonable travel and standard labor costs and expenses for the required service. Documentation is required for all costs. Reference Documents MANDATORY REWORK - Background Bosch Thermotechnology has been informed by the manufacturer that some of its transformers with integral circuit breaker, FHP part number T , may not open if an over-current condition occurs. Although it is highly unlikely, an over-current condition might create an over-heating situation with a potential of a fire and/ or shock hazard. No such incidents have been reported. Bosch has identified 128 shipped units that may contain the affected transformer. These units were shipped between September 2014 and November All affected serial numbers are listed in Table 1. Units not on the list are not affected. This rework does not impact spare parts shipped from Bosch. Replacing the Transformer Technical Service Bulletin Document part number: BTC Labor Request Form Document part number: BTC Required Field Action FHP WSHP products with serial numbers listed in Table 1 (List of Units Affected) require replacement of the transformer part number T Bosch will contact each customer directly and will provide a replacement part free of charge for all WSHP products listed in Table 1. Upon replacing the nonconforming transformer (see Attachment 1 - Rework Instructions), it is required to complete the Labor Request Form (see Attachment 2), and return as indicated to receive proper credit for labor and travel. All nonconforming transformers replaced in the field are required to be returned to Bosch using the original box used for delivery of the replacement transformer and the prepaid return shipping label. Bosch will issue a Returned Material Authorization (RMA) for the parts to be returned at the time the free of charge order is created. Data subject to change without notice BTC A

Only trained and qualified personnel should install, repair, or service the equipment. Figure 1 Screws WARNING: Before performing service or maintenance operations on the system, turn off main power to the unit. Electrical shock could cause personal injury or death. CAUTION: When working on equipment, always observe precautions described in the literature, tags, and labels attached to the unit. Follow all safety codes. Wear safety glasses and work gloves. Use a quenching cloth for brazing and place a fire extinguisher close to the work area. Figure 2 Transformer Transformer Removal 1. Remove the screws located on the front panel (Figure 1). Removal of panel will vary by Model and size of the unit. Refer to IOM for instructions. 2. Locate the Transformer in the electrical box assembly (Figure 2). 3. Models MC360, MC480, and EC360 have 2 transformers as shown in Figure 3.

Figure 5 Screw locations 4. Verify part number of affected transformer. Transformer part number: T Transformer description: Transformer 208/240/480V 100VA 5. Remove all wiring to disconnect transformer (Figure 4). 2. Connect the wiring, and perform a continuity test (Figure 6). Some models may be wired different than others, Make sure you take note on the location of the Wires as they are being removed ( color coded and Area connected) CAUTION: Ensure that the connections are made according to the wiring diagram located on the inside of unit panel. Figure 4 Figure 6 6. Remove the screws that are holding the transformer. 3. Reinstall panel using the same screws used to remove it (Figure 1). 4. Test unit for normal operation. Retain screws for install of replacement part. 7.
