2 The Governor and Officers Brother and co-workers, As fall approaches watch for new menu changes. Specials from our chef Jack include Octoberfest to be featured on Friday October 9 th. Retention of members continues to be the focus of many discussions and meetings throughout the fraternity. We currently have an in-house campaign that could win you free dues for a year. Ask any lodge or chapter officer for more details on how to participate. Moose International has announced a point system available to all members. Points are awarded to members for many Moose related activities. Signing a member, attending a class or convention, or even just renewing your dues for multiple years adds to your points. You may have points and not even know it yet. Full details are available at mooseintl.org. A frequently asked questions area is there. You can review your points and learn how to redeem them for numerous items. No registration is needed. You only need a valid address to redeem your points. Signing new members and retaining current members is the best way for our fraternity to grow. Please talk to friends, coworkers, and associates about being a part of the Loyal Order of Moose story and history. I look forward to seeing you in the lodge. Fraternally, Al Erney Governor Dear Co-Workers: W.O.T.M. With summer coming to an end, I hope everyone has had a chance to relax & enjoy time with family & friends. The chapter has voted to start our meetings at 7:00 pm beginning in September. We have a very busy fall season coming up & we hope you join us, starting on Monday, September 8th honoring Donna Berger on receiving the Star Recorder Degree. We have breakfasts on Sundays, September 14 th & October 12 th from 9am until 12 noon. The children's Halloween party will be on Sunday, October 25 th from 2-4 pm. Look for sign-up sheets starting the first of October. Our next dance will be on Friday, October 30 th. We hope you will join us for a ghoulish good time. Remember there is no charge for admission to the dance. Also, for every new member you sponsor, you will receive a chance to have your dues paid for 1 year! Ask any officer for more details. Sincerely, Linda Heusler, Senior Regent P.S. Please keep our Junior Regent Barb Borowski informed of any illnesses or death of coworkers you can reach her at WOTM Breakfast 2 nd Sunday of the month Adults - $7.50, Kids (5-10) - $3.50, children under 5 free Featuring: Omelets and Waffles all made to order, Scrambled Eggs, French Toast, Creamed Dried Beef, Bacon, Sausage, Home Fries, Baked Goods, Coffee, Tea & much more! 9 AM until Noon

3 From One Member to Another From the Desk of the Administrator: I try and write this as things come up all month long and it never works out right. That being said, I ll start by saying that we were very fortunate to have received one of the Grants given by Moose International s Supreme Council. The program is a three year program in which lodges can request Grant money for repairs, updates for replacement of items, or equipment to better serve our members. We submitted and receive a Grant for the replacement of the ceiling tiles throughout the lodge. I will say that it has made the place very bright. Huge thanks to all that helped. I would like to remind everyone that we offer memorial services for all members that have passed away. All we ask is that a family member contacts me with a request for the service. On September 12 th, the lodge will be holding a 31 Purse BINGO fund raiser. The doors will open at 11am and games will start at 12:30. This fund raiser will help with some of the donations we pay each year. I would like to remind everyone that we hold a lodge meeting the first and third Monday of each month at 7:30pm, but please watch the board in the lodge for the schedule when there is a holiday that may fall on a Monday. Our Women of the Moose chapter holds their meetings on the 2 nd and 4 th Monday starting in September at 7pm. Fraternally yours, Phil Febus, Administrator
