1 Red Maple Festival 2016 Friday, Oct 21 st : Parents & Tots Skating- Windsor Stadium: 9:15-10:15am. Admission is free. Helmets are Adult Skating- Windsor Stadium: 10:30am-11:30am. Admission is free. Helmets are Fall Wine Tasting and Painting Class: Joe Byrne Memorial Stadium. 8:00-11:00pm. Bring your friends or significant other to this three (3) hour wine tasting and art experience. A local artist from CNVAS (Central Newfoundland Visual Art Society) will guide participants as they explore the creative process of putting paint to paper to create a unique masterpiece. A sample selection of wines from around the world will be offered during this event. Cost is $35.00/person which includes a ride from the event, wine and all painting supplies. Space is limited so call to register. Saturday, Oct 22 nd : Cranberry Family Day: Wally Reid's Farm Botwood Highway (signage will be on highway). 11:00am-1:00pm. Free Farm Tour, Hay Rides, Bouncy Castle and Refreshments. All are welcome to attend. Walk The Trails & Open House 2:00-4:00pm at the Exploits Valley Ski Trails On Scott Avenue. The Ski Club will be hosting a walk the trail and open house to display the great trails that they have here in Grand Falls Windsor. Halloween Flashlight Hunt- Church Road Park (JBM Stadium Multipurpose Room If Raining): 6:00pm-7:30pm. Prizes awarded for best costumes. Sunday, Oct 23 rd : Pumpkin Carving Contest - Joe Byrne Memorial Stadium Hospitality Room 2:00pm carving 3:00pm. Prizes awarded. Must pre-register by Thursday October 20. Call to register. From This Rock Culinary Tour- Grand Falls Golf 6:30pm. Tickets are available at the Parks and Recreation Department or by calling Tickets are $75.00/person (taxes in). Monday, Oct 24 th : Please note: all skating activities scheduled for this day are moved to Tuesday, October 25.

Helmets are Thursday, Oct 27 th : Halloween Bounce: Windsor Pentecostal Church. 6:00-7:30pm. Ages We are accepting donations for the food bank, but admission is free. Helmets are 4 th Grand Falls Scouts 3 rd Annual Halloween Haunted Trail Gorge Park Trails (enter at Sanger Park) 6:00pm 7:00 pm Family friendly. 7:30pm-8:30pm Scary. Free hot chocolate, marshmallows & bonfire. BBQ & Refreshments will be available for sale at the end of the trail. Admission $3 per person and all proceeds go towards the 4 th Grand Falls Scouts. Come out and enjoy the haunted trails if you dare! Art Ex Fine Arts and Craft Expo: The Fine-Arts & Crafts Expo will be open to the general public on Friday, October 28th from Noon to 9 pm, and on Saturday, October 29th from 10 am to 5 pm. Canteen services provided by Exploits Valley Minor Hockey Association. Art Ex Fine Arts and Craft Expo: The Gordon Pinsent Centre for the Arts. The Fine-Arts & Crafts Expo will be open to the general public on Friday, October 28th from Noon to 9 pm, and on Saturday, October 29th from 10 am to 5 pm. This is an annual fund raiser and this year all funds raised will go to the "Grand Falls-Windsor, Bishop's Falls Community Food Bank". Zombies assemble at CENTENNIAL FIELD (Cromer Ave, GFW) "Zombification Make-up Station" opens at Centennial Field at Noon. Make-Up application for a $5 donation to the Fresh Start Theater Group. Makeup application will end at 1:45 pm sharp - So come early! Zombie Walk to start at 2:00 pm. Sponsor Sheets available at the Classic Theater and Riverside Convenience In lieu of sponsors, $10.00/person or $20.00/family (or whatever you can afford) Children and pets welcome! 4 Tuesday, Nov 1 st : Cranberry Baking Class with Guest Instructor Bern O Driscoll: Grand Falls Golf Course from 6:00pm-8:30pm. Must pre-register to attend as there is limited space (first come, first paid). Registration is $25.00/person and includes all materials (it is suggested you bring an apron from home). Call to register. This is a 19+ event. The Exploits Regional Curling Club will be hosting a FREE open house from Tuesday, November 1st to Friday, November 4th from 7-9pm. Come join us for some curling, free software drinks, and free pizza compliments of Lefty's Pizzeria and Lounge. Never curled before? No problem! This is your chance to try it out. We will have hosts each night to give you a hand and to go over the basics. Children must be at least 8 years old to curl and those 12 and under must bring and wear helmets. All curlers must bring clean shoes to wear on the ice. We also recommend you wear warm, comfortable clothing including a pair of mittens. Layers work well! A champagne reception at 6:00pm and dinner starts at 7:00pm at the Grand Falls Golf Course. Tickets are $100.00/person and can be purchased at the Canadian Cancer Society.
