1 Welcome to Zitto Italian Restaurant and Wine Bar This is our second wine list, selected and compiled as a result of the success of our original list. We have removed the wines which did not sell and added some that we expect will. The list is not exclusively Italian and we have endeavoured to create a comprehensive selection of around 40 fine wines, realistically priced, most by the glass as well as by the bottle. We have invested in a revolutionary QUAD POD WINE BAR, unique to East Lothian, which allows us to sell top quality wines by the glass, without any loss or deterioration in quality, using a unique method of resealing each opened bottle to preserve it in it s original condition. This effectively means we can offer almost all our wines by the glass. It is especially effective in keeping our Proseccos and Champagnes in top quality condition. This technology has allowed us to introduce East Lothian s first PROSECCO BAR and BELLINI BAR with a choice of Prosecco and a range of exciting Bellinis. 2 ZITTO APERITIFS BELLINI BAR Giuseppe Cipriani, owner of of Harry s Bar in Venice, created this celebrated wine cocktail around A favourite of Ernest Hemmingway, Sinclair Lewis, Orson Welles and thousands of visitors to Venice ever since. The original was simply chilled extra dry sparkling Prosecco poured over fresh white peach puree, and is utterly divine. Bright orange in colour, it has a unique taste, thanks to the secret recipe, which has never been changed, with infusions of selected ingredients including bitter and sweet oranges and many other herbs and roots in perfect proportions. Aperol s strength is in its low-alcohol content of only 11 percent.

3 ZITTO PROSECCO BAR Bottle 75cl 125ml Glass BOTTER CONEGLIANO VALDOBBIADENE PROSECCO SUPERIORE DOCG, Italy Straw shade of yellow reflecting springs rays of sunshine and the flavour is harmoniously balanced with delicate fruity notes, a low acidity and a moderate alcohol content. Prosecco should be consumed when still young to fully appreciate the sparkle. ROCCO PROSECCO EXTRA DRY, CONEGLIANO E VALDOBBIADENE, Italy Although labelled Extra Dry this wine has a touch of richness to it compared with the much drier Brut styled wines. Elegant with floral notes and a lovely creamy fizz. FOLLADOR PROSECCO TREVISO BRUT DOC, Italy The colour is bright straw yellow with greenish reflections. Fine and persistent bubbles. A very pleasant scent of acacia flowers, golden apple and almond bouquet. Savoury and fresh. FOLLADOR PROSECCO ROSÉ BRUT, Italy Bright pink in colour with fine and persistent bubbles. Fruity bouquet with strong nuances of apple, pear and apricot. Flower scents are recognisable, in particular lime. Well structured, balanced acidity and savouriness with a final dry taste. FOR THE CHAMPAGNE PURISTS BOLLINGER SPECIAL CUVÉE, Champagne, France Bollinger is a name associated with the highest winemaking standards. A unique wine of great longevity and complexity with outstanding toasty, biscuity flavours. IWC Silver, DWWA Bronze.

4 WHITE WINE Bottle 175ml 250ml SANTA ROSA SAUVIGNON BLANC, CENTRAL VALLEY, Chile 2011/ This is an exceptionally well made Sauvignon Blanc, with apples and grass on the nose balanced with crisp, zesty acidity and a luscious clean finish. SANTA ROSA CHARDONNAY, CENTRAL VALLEY, Chile, 2011/ Ripe peach and other tropical fruits jump out of the glass. This is an extremely modern style of Chardonnay, which is sure to be a crowd-pleaser. BOTTER IGT SICILIA PINOT GRIGIO, Italy, 2011/ Fresh Pinot Grigio with good weight and balance. Stone fruit characters and hints of white flowers are present. FIANO, LUNATE, SICILIA IGT, Italy, Stone fruit characters of peach and apricot are in abundance in this Fiano. The palate is full bodied with good acidity. TOMMASI, PINOT GRIGIO, VIGNETO LE ROSSE, IGT, VENETO, Italy 2010/ Clean and spicy aromas, with typical hints of tropical fruit. On the palate it is medium-bodied with a round, soft taste and a crisp finish. Excellent with light appetizers, soups and fish. BOTTER, FRASCATI SUPERIORE, RIONE, DOC, LAZIO, Italy 2010/ A popular dry white from South of Rome - typically fresh with aromas of almonds. BOTTER, VERDICCHIO DEI CASTELLI DI JESI, CLASSICO, RIONE, DOC, MARCHE, Italy 2010/ Brilliantly clear light straw-coloured with green reflections. Fine, lasting lightly fruity bouquet with scents of almond and a dry, fresh, elegant body. BERONIA, RIOJA, BLANCO, Spain 2010/ Made from 100% Viura with no oak contact. This delicate wine has aromas of peach and lily petals. BOTTER, SOAVE, DOC, VENETO 75cl, Italy 2010/ Straw yellow colour, dry with soft acidity and a medium body.

5 Bottle 175ml 250ml JACKSON ESTATES GREEN LIP SAUVIGNON BLANC, MARLBOROUGH, New Zealand 2010/ Outstanding Sauvignon Blanc from the Marlborough region in the south island. Tropical fruits balanced with fine minerality and good acidity and a long expressive finish. CRAGGY RANGE TE MUNA ROAD SAUVIGNON BLANC, MARTINBOROUGH, New Zealand 2010/ Wonderfully complex Sauvignon Blanc with aromas of nectarine and floral notes. The palate is packed with stone fruit, lime and grapefruit with mineral characters. The finish is long, crisp and clean. CHABLIS, RÉSERVE DE MONTAIGU, J. MOREAU ET FILS 75cl, Burgundy, France 2010/ The vines grow on gentle slopes along the perimeter of the Chablis Grand Cru and Premier Cru appellations. Pale gold in colour with slight green tinges and a fruity nose with butter and hazelnut aromas. MÂCON LUGNY LES GENIEVRES, LOUIS LATOUR, Burgundy, France 2010/ A beautiful wine with a light golden pale robe and greenish highlights, with muscat-like aromas and notes of liquorice. It has excellent roundness to it, and is ready to drink now! ROSE WINE GOYENECHEA MERLOT ROSÉ, MENDOZA, Argentina 2010/ A fresh, aromatic and sensual wine. Slight sweetness with a light, fruity palate. Gorgeous crushed strawberry fruit - fresh, lively and hugely drinkable. Very easy to drink. VILLA CARLOTTI PINOT GRIGIO ROSÉ, IGT, VENETO ITALY Clean and crisp with fresh fruit finish. WILD BOAR ROSÉ, AOC COTEAUX VAROIS, CHATEAU ROUTAS, Provence, France 2010/ The woods at Routas are teaming with wild boar and at night, during the harvest, they sneak into the vineyard in search of the best grapes. This wine is a blend of Grenache, Syrah and Cinsault, producing a dry rosé with summer fruit characters on the palate.

6 RED WINE Bottle 175ml 250ml SANTA ROSA MERLOT, CENTRAL VALLEY, Chile 2011/ This Merlot is fresh and fruity bursting with typical flavours of ripe plums and cherries - smooth and easy to drink. CALEO, NERO D'AVOLA, SICILIA, Italy A native grape to Sicily, this is deep ruby-red in colour with black berry fruit and spice on the nose and a rich smooth flavour with a savoury character. GOYENECHEA MALBEC, MENDOZA, Argentina Good fruit with rich flavours combine with the tannins in this well structured wine to produce an excellent example of what Argentina is capable of. VILLA CARLOTTI MONTEPULCIANO, D'ABRUZZO, Italy 2010/ Ruby red purple in colour with lingering fruit aromas and offering subtle sweet tannins and pleasant acidity with a finish of jam and vanilla. SAN LEONARDO, IGT VIGNETI DELLE, DOLOMITI, Alto Adige, Italy This is one of the most iconic wines in Italy. The Italian wine bible Gambero Rosso has awarded each vintage of San Leonardo three glasses (the highest award). This is a classic bordeaux blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot. Consistently placed as one of the top ten finest red wines of Italy. BOTTER, CHIANTI, DOCG, TOSCANA (WICKER FLASKS), Italy 2010/ A typical easy-drinking Chianti from central Tuscany bottled in the classic raffia flask. CASTELLO DI SAN DONATO IN PERANO, CHIANTI CLASSICO RISERVA, DOCG, TOSCANA, Italy % Sangiovese and 10% Merlot & Cabernet, aged in oak for 18 months and 6 months in bottle before release. The wine has aromas of red fruit and spices, with a full bodied, long finish. BERONIA, RIOJA, CRIANZA 75cl, Spain 2008/ Made from 82% Tempranillo, 14% Garnacha and 4% Mazuelo. The wine is aged 12 months in barrel and 12 months in bottle prior to release. Aromas of vanilla, raspberry and cherry dominate the bouquet. The palate is fresh and fruity with a rich and powerful finish.

7 Bottle 175ml 250ml TORREÓN DE PAREDES CABERNET SAUVIGNON RESERVA, VALLE DE RENGO, Chile 2009/ Matured in French oak barrels for 12 months. Deep rubyred colour. Aromas of red fruit with elegant vanilla and black chocolate nuances.firm tannins and a long finish. DE WAAL YOUNG VINES MERLOT, STELLENBOSCH, South Africa 2009/ This is a velvety soft wine with flavours of creamy blackberries. Extremely easy to drink and a good partner to the Young Vines Sauvignon Blanc. CHÂTEAU LYONNAT, LUSSAC ST. EMILION 75cl, Bordeaux, France Classic high qualitymerlot dominated Bordeaux Claret blend. Dark spicy fruit and firm tannins make this a great partner to red meat. TOMMASI, VALPOLICELLA CLASSICO SUPERIORE, RAFAEL, DOC, VENETO, Italy 2009/ Made in limited quantities, this Valpolicella could change your mind about the region forever! Deliciously tasty and complex, this represents excellent value for money. Soft and velvety and very easy drinking, best served with roast meats and cheeses. TOMMASI, AMARONE DELLA VALPOLICELLA CLASSICO, DOC, Veneto, Italy 2008/ This rich full bodied red wine has plum characters and soft spice. It is best served with roasted red meats and strong cheeses. BOTTER, BAROLO, DOCG, PIEMONTE, Italy 2007/ From the Nebbiolo grape, garnet red with violet and rose aromas. Aged in oak, it has smooth tannins and developed savoury fruit flavours.
