2 New Institutional Data Dashboard The new Institutional Data Dashboard presents information gathered at Census Date for each term to ensure consistent reporting. Enrollment and Class Schedule data are presented in the following dashboard pages: Enrollment Data Just the Facts o University Enrollment o First-time Freshmen o New Transfers o New Postbaccalaureates o Credential Enrollment Summary Enrollment - Fall Trend Enrollment by Academic Structure Enrollment Custom Report Class Schedule Data Average Class Size Section Counts by Instruction Mode Section Counts by Class Size & Course Component Report Index A brief description for each dashboard page Page 1 of 16
3 Just the Facts Standard formats provide data suitable for quick information and a general audience on enrollment and selected student characteristics from Fall Quarter 2005 to the present. Data views allow focus by student type and level, gender and ethnic group. University Enrollment Page 2 of 16

8 Enrollment Summary Enrollment headcounts and Full-Time Equivalent Students (FTES) by term from Fall Quarter 2005 to the present are shown with accompanying pie-chart distribution. Information can be viewed by Academic Group, Gender, IPEDS Ethnic Group, URM Status, STEM Flag, FT/PT Status, Residence Status, First Generation, or Economic Status. Data filters allow focus by college and student level. Page 7 of 16
9 Enrollment - Fall Trend Enrollment headcounts for fall quarters from 2005 to the present shown to provide enrollment trend information by line graphs. Views allow aggregation of the data by Academic Structure, Student Level, Gender, URM Status, Economic Status, and First Generation Status. Page 8 of 16
10 Enrollment by Academic Structure Enrollment headcounts and Full-time Equivalent Students (FTES) for a selected term are presented by academic structure including Academic Career, Group, Organization, Plan and Option according to Gender, IPEDS Ethnic Group, and Student Type. Page 9 of 16
11 Enrollment Custom Report Enrollment headcounts can be flexibly presented selecting 4 data elements to be the columns on the report. Data filters allow focus by academic structure and student characteristics. Page 10 of 16
12 Average Class Size Based on class schedule data, the average class size for each course component and class level is given by academic structure. Drill down into an academic organization (department) provides detail by course subject area. Page 11 of 16
13 Section Counts by Instruction Mode College course section counts are presented in separate reports for Instruction Mode, Service Learning sections and Honors sections. Drill down allows access to detailed information by academic structure and course. Page 12 of 16
14 Section Counts by Class Size & Course Component Section counts by class size and course component. Class Sizes are grouped into Small (< 25), Medium (25-48), Large (49-84), XLarge (>84). Course Components include Activity, Clinical, Ind. Study, Laboratory, Lecture, Seminar, Sup, and Thesis. Page 13 of 16
15 Dashboard Navigation Tips Prompts (top of the page) Click the drop down list to select a different value. Always remember to click Go to refresh the data. Refresh Print Download (bottom of the page) Refresh to refresh data Print to print in HTML or PDF formats Download to download in Excel, PowerPoint, MHTML or text data Filters (below page header) Shows criteria of the data selection Page 14 of 16
16 Select View (below page header) Click the drop down for available options Select Column (below page header in Enrollment Custom Report page) Click the drop down for available options (The All option will display a blank column. Select All in the last column(s) if you need less than five columns for your custom criteria.) Page 15 of 16
17 Multi-Select (in the prompt box at the top of the page) For options with no drop down menus, click on the box with the symbol. A dialogue box will pop up giving you all available options on the right box, and a Selected box on the left side where all of your selected options will be listed. To make selections, simply select and double-click the menu item on the right side. For multiple selections, hold down the Ctrl key and select. Click on the << in the middle of the two boxes to complete the selection. To de-select, go to the selected item(s) on the left box, select, and double click. For multiple selections, hold down the Ctrl key and select. Click on the >> to complete the de-selection. After making your selections, click OK at the bottom of the box. Page 16 of 16
