3 Tablet Mobile App Users Guide Download the application To download the application directly from the Apple (App Store) or Android (Play Store): 1. Launch the App or Play Store application on your mobile device. 2. Search for Veritex Community Bank and download the application. ipad users can also download the application directly from within itunes by searching for Veritex Community Bank. Note If you download the application on your computer, you will need to sync your tablet with the computer to add the application. Sign In You can set up your mobile banking access from the mobile device of your choice (tablet/smartphone). Certain information still must be added in online banking before being visible in your mobile application, such as bill payment payees for personal users, and payment (credit) recipients as well as payment templates for treasury services users. Once you have downloaded the application and have your user ID and password, you are now ready to sign in. 1. On your mobile device, launch the application. 2. To display the keyboard, simply tap an entry field or use the device keyboard. 3. Enter a valid User ID and password and tap SIGN IN. If your information is correct, the Interstitial page appears as your information loads. Veritex Community Bank Tablet Mobile App Users Guide 2

4 Note If you wish to have your device remember the User ID for your next sign in, select the Remember Me check box before signing in. Note You can also locate branches and ATM locations prior to signing in to the application. 4. Your mobile banking profile is now configured for Multi-factor Authentication. You will be prompted to select one of the contact options that we have on file for your account. Within moments you will receive a Temporary Access Code to enter before continuing the sign in process. Veritex Community Bank Tablet Mobile App Users Guide 3

5 5. Enter the code you received and tap Submit to complete the Sign In process. Note Navigation procedures may vary slightly depending on your mobile device. First Time Users If you are a first-time user, additional steps must be completed before gaining access to your accounts and application functionality. To sign in for the first time: 1. On your mobile device, launch the application. 2. To display the keyboard, simply tap an entry field or use the device keyboard. 3. Enter a valid User ID and password and tap SIGN IN. 4. The First-Time User Enrollment User Identification page appears. 5. Select a delivery method to receive your Secure Access Code. 6. Submit the code you received. 7. You are prompted to read and accept the disclaimer in the Complete Enrollment section. 8. Choose I Accept. 9. The Complete Enrollment Step Two: Create Your Online Profile page appears. 10. Complete all required fields and tap Submit. 11. The Change Your Password page appears. 12. Enter a new password and tap Submit. 13. A confirmation dialog appears. 14. Tap OK. Note You will also be prompted to register your device. If you select the option to register, you will not be prompted again during subsequent sign-ins. 6 Dashboard The Dashboard appears immediately following the interstitial page and provides quick access to the following features: Accounts associated with your online profile Summary Metrics menu which displays amounts associated with each account Settings menu Quick funds transfers Bill payments Announcements and messages View Account Details The Dashboard displays a summary of accounts associated with your online profile. You can also initiate quick transfers as well as make bill payments (personal users only). Accounts are categorized and displayed by account type (checking, savings, loans, time deposits, etc.). The following information appears for each account: Account Name - Either the default name for the account in our system or a custom display name (aka nickname) that you have created for the account in online banking. To make your accounts easily recognizable, you can assign display names to your accounts from the Preferences > Account menu in online banking. Display names can be changed as often as you wish and will be used consistently in account listings and menus. Account Number - The account number for the displayed account. The number may be masked for security purposes, displaying only the last several numbers of the account. This ensures the confidentiality and privacy of your online information. For example, account number may be represented as XXXX6789 or ****6789. Updated - The date that the displayed balances on the account were last updated. Account Balances - The most relevant summary balances (Available, Current) for the account type. Veritex Community Bank Tablet Mobile App Users Guide 5

7 To view your account details, simply tap any account icon will display. and the most recent (up to 5) transactions (debits/credits) To view additional transactions and account details, tap the expansion icon. Summary Metrics The Summary Metrics graph provides an additional access point to view details for each of your accounts. Just tap a section of the graph and the applicable account summary will display with the option to view associated transactions. Veritex Community Bank Tablet Mobile App Users Guide 6

8 Messages and Alerts Messages and Alerts to and from the bank are consistent between Mobile Web, tablet/smartphone applications, and online banking. This means if you elect to send a message while working within online banking, you can always use your tablet app to read the reply. Our secure messaging is integrated so messages you receive in online banking are always visible in mobile banking. View Messages To view secure messages, tap the Messages tab at the bottom of your application. All messages display in descending order on the right panel of the page. 9 Reply to a message You can reply to any message available in your secure message queue. To reply to a message: 1. Tap the Messages tab. The Messages page appears. 2. Select a message in the secure message queue. The message details appear. 3. Tap Reply. A message window appears displaying the addressee and message subject. 4. Compose your response and tap Send. 10 Create a New Message You can create a new secure message for distribution to many of the bank s departments. To create a new message: 1. Tap New at the top of the Messages page. A New Message window appears displaying a list of available recipients. 2. Tap to select a recipient from the list. The new message template appears displaying the following: The selected recipient in the To field Subject field Message Content field (max 1000 characters) 3. Compose your message and tap Send. The message details appear on the page as well as in the message queue. Delete a Message You can delete any sent or received secure messages available in your message queue. To delete a message: 1. Select a message in your message queue. The message details appear. 2. Tap the Delete Message icon. A confirmation window appears. 3. Tap Yes. 11 Transactions The Transactions page allows you to conduct various personal transactions such as funds transfers, and bill payments. Make a Transfer The Transfers tab enables you to quickly and easily transfer funds between two of your accounts, deposits and withdrawals. You can make a one-time immediate transfer, a onetime future-dated transfer, as well as recurring transfers. To make a transfer: 1. Tap the Transactions tab at the bottom of your application. 2. Tap the Transfers tab. 3. Select a From and To account from the account menus. Note This can include both internal and external account transfers. 12 4. Enter a transfer amount and tap Set Amount 5. Select a transfer date. Veritex Community Bank Tablet Mobile App Users Guide 11

13 6. Tap Transfer Funds. A confirmation dialog appears indicating that the transaction was successful and the transfer date. Note All Pending and Processed Transactions appear in the right panel of the transactions page. Make a Recurring Transaction You have the ability to create a recurring transaction for some types of payments or transfers. A recurring transaction happens on a preset schedule that you determine. Each recurring instance of the transaction is scheduled when the previous instance of the transaction has been processed. You can review or delete each recurring transaction on the Transactions page. To create a recurring transaction: 1. Create your standard funds transfer and tap Repeat This Transaction. The Repeat Transfer window appears. 2. Tap the Frequency tab. The transfer frequency options appear. 3. Make your selection and tap the Duration tab. The transfer duration options appear. 4. Tap Repeat Forever or Repeat Until to end transfers after a specified number of occurrences or to end on a specific date. 5. Make your selection and tap Confirm. A confirmation window appears. Make a Bill Payment You can conduct select online banking transactions from the convenience of your mobile device when you tap the Bill Pay tab on the Transactions page. Note This feature is optional. With the Bill Payment feature, you can: Create payments Cancel pending payments View payees View pending payments View payment history Veritex Community Bank Tablet Mobile App Users Guide 12

14 Note You must be an existing online consumer bill pay user and enabled for mobile bill pay. To make a bill payment: 1. On the Transactions page, tap the Bill Pay tab. A list of bill payees appears. The pending and processed payments also appear in the right panel. Note First-time users of this feature may be prompted to accept a disclaimer before proceeding. 2. Tap a payee. The payee tile flips to display the last four payments (if applicable). Veritex Community Bank Tablet Mobile App Users Guide 13

15 3. To schedule a payment, tap the Pencil icon on the top right of the tile. The payment account(s) display. 4. Select a From account from the list. Veritex Community Bank Tablet Mobile App Users Guide 14

16 5. Enter the Amount, Delivery Method, and Delivery Date. 6. Tap Send Payment. A confirmation window appears and the pending payment displays in the right bill payments panel. Veritex Community Bank Tablet Mobile App Users Guide 15

17 Deposit a Check Remote Deposit Capture is an optional feature that allows you to use your mobile device camera to deposit a check using the Veritex Mobile Banking App. To enroll in Remote Deposit Capture, sign in to Online Banking at Navigate to Preferences and then Mobile Deposit Capture. You will be prompted to agree to the Mobile Deposit Capture Terms and Conditions. Then click Accept to submit your enrollment. You will receive and within two business days with further instructions. 1. Tap the Transactions tab on your application. 18 2. Tap Deposit Check. A list of available accounts appears (using the phone App, tap To: ). Select an account.. 3. Tap Check Number. Enter the check number as it appears on the check and tap Set Check. Veritex Community Bank Tablet Mobile App Users Guide 17

19 4. Tap Amount. Enter the amount as it appears on the check and tap Set Amount. Note: The standard mobile deposit limit is $2,500 per check. Checks over this amount should be deposited in person at our local branch location. 5. Tap Capture Image. Next, position the check as directed on the screen and tap Capture Front. VERY IMPORTANT: A complete endorsement for Mobile Deposit Capture is required. Write your endorsement on the back of the check as shown below Your Signature via Veritex Remote Deposit 6. Next, position the check as directed and tap Capture Back. A complete endorsement provides added security and will minimize delays in the availability of your deposit. Please retain the check for 14 days from the date of deposit and then promptly destroy the check to avoid any possibility of mistakenly depositing the check again. All checks deposited through Mobile Deposit Capture must be made payable to the Account Holder ONLY. Note: You are responsible for any duplicate deposits made, even if another person deposits the check at another bank after you deposited the check with Veritex Bank. 20 8. A Summary page appears displaying the details of the transaction. Review the transaction details. The option to retake check images is available if they are not clear and legible. Scroll to the bottom of the screen and tap Submit Deposit. Veritex Community Bank Tablet Mobile App Users Guide 19

21 9. Next you will receive a message telling you if the deposit was submitted successfully and is PENDING. Note: The message reminds you to retain the check for 14 days. The Deposit Check tab also displays details and the status of the items captured as either Accepted or Rejected when you log back into the App (on the phone App this is located under Activity from the Deposit Check screen). We recommend you return to this page about an hour after you make a mobile deposit to verify it was processed. Tap on your deposit from the list, the description will tell you if your deposit has been processed. To verify your check was Accepted and Processed from Online Banking, view your transaction in the Mobile RDC History under Transaction History or under the Transactions tab in Mobile Banking. Important: Deposits made before 5:00 P.M. will generally be available on the next business day (not including weekends and holidays). Veritex Community Bank Tablet Mobile App Users Guide 20

22 Commercial Transactions With the Veritex Community Bank Apps, you can initiate and approve select Commercial Payments directly from your mobile device. To initiate a Single ACH Payment, Single ACH Receipt or a Domestic Wire Transfer, the transaction template must be already created in online banking. Note You must have commercial banking rights in online banking to use Commercial Transactions in mobile banking. Additionally, you will only see the transaction types and templates for which you have previously created in Online Banking. ACH Payment To create and authorize an ACH Payment transaction: 1. Tap the Commercial tab on your application. The Commercial page appears displaying ACH Payment ACH Receipt Domestic Wire 2. Tap the ACH Payment tab (if the option is not displayed by default). 23 3. Tap a template tile to view the payment details. 4. If necessary, you can make adjustments to the template details. Otherwise, select a date for the transaction and tap Submit. Note You cannot adjust the destination account. 5. A screen appears indicating the ACH Payment is in a Drafted status Veritex Community Bank Tablet Mobile App Users Guide 22

24 6. Tap Authorize. You will be prompted enter your Token Authorization code. Enter your authorization code, tap Set Code, and then tap Authorize. 7. A screen appears indicating the ACH Payment is in an Authorized status. Veritex Community Bank Tablet Mobile App Users Guide 23

25 ACH Receipt To create and authorize an ACH Receipt transaction: 1. Tap the Commercial tab on your application. The Commercial page appears displaying the following commercial options: ACH Payment ACH Receipt Domestic Wire 2. Tap the ACH Receipt tab (if the option is not displayed by default). The ACH Receipt (collection) templates appear. 3. Tap a template tile to view the receipt details. 4. If necessary, you can make adjustments to the template details. Otherwise, select a date for the transaction and tap Submit. Note You cannot adjust the destination account. 5. A screen appears indicating the ACH Receipt is in a Drafted status. 6. Tap Authorize. You may be prompted to select a TAC Target that you established in online banking. 7. Enter your access code and tap Set Code, then tap Authorize. 8. A screen appears indicating the ACH Receipt is in an Authorized status. Domestic Wire To create and authorize a Domestic Wire transaction: 1. Tap the Commercial tab on your application. The Commercial page appears displaying 2. the following commercial options: ACH Payment ACH Receipt Domestic Wire 3. Tap the Domestic Wire tab (if the option is not displayed by default). The Domestic Wire templates appear. 4. Tap a template tile to view the domestic wire details. If necessary, you can make adjustments to the template details. Otherwise, select a date for the transaction and tap Submit. Note You cannot adjust the destination account. 5. A screen appears indicating the Wire Transfer is in a Drafted status. 6. Tap Authorize. You may be prompted to select a TAC Target that you established in online banking. 7. Enter your access code and tap Authorize. 8. 26 View ATM and Branch Locations On the Veritex Mobile Banking Sign In and Branches pages, you can quickly view our ATM and branch locations on the map. You can also tap a placemark icon on the map to view addresses, contact information, and hours of operation. 1. Tap the Branches tab. A map appears displaying a list of ATMs and branch locations. The addresses and distances to the locations also display in the right panel. Note Depending on your device's configuration, you may be prompted to enter your zip code to view the nearest locations. Additionally, if your device's Location Services are turned off, ATM/Branch locations will be based on approximations and the current location indicator may not display (typically represented by a red pin or blue dot). 27 2. Tap an ATM or branch location placemark icon on the map (or a location in the right panel). Additional ATM/branch details display. 3. Tap Get Directions to access the most efficient route from your current location. Veritex Community Bank Tablet Mobile App Users Guide 26

29 Settings The Settings feature allows you to create/edit your personal online profile and change your password as needed. To create/edit your personal profile: 1. Tap the Settings button located at the top right of any tablet page. The Settings page appears. 2. Tap Profile. The Profile and Contact Information entry fields appear. 3. Enter/edit information and tap Save Changes to update your profile. To change your password: 1. Tap Edit Password. The Password entry fields appear. 2. Enter your old password. 3. 30 Navigation Help At any point in time, should you need any information on the different menu options on screen, tap on the i for information symbol, and a screen will popup showing you the various options and gestures for the screen that you are currently on.
