1 All done, now Socha Theme is installed. But if you go on your home page, you will see nothing interesting, because you should populate this theme a little. First of all make the Home page slider. MANAGE HOME PAGE SLIDER To create first slider go to Appearance -> Sliders. Here you can create a lot of sliders by clicking the Create New Slider button. These sliders you can use in you posts by adding shortcode. On the home page is used Sneak Peek Slider, he is already created. You can t create other slider for home page. You can only manage current slider. To add images in slider, click on the box (NO IMAGE Sneak Peek) After this click Add a New Slide. You can upload an image, by clicking on CLICK TO ADD IMAGE or simply put images link without upload. When you upload you image, it should be appear in this block. When You upload your image, don t forget to click Insert into Post button on Image uploader window. If you need, you can add link, title or short description. If you need to add some html code you can put it in HTML form.

2 To add next slide image, click Add a New Slide one more time. And repeat. After uploading images click Save Slider. IMPORTANT HOME STYLE 1. Slider image size is: px Upload only px image size if you want to take maximal visual effect. If images will be different sizes, the slider will crop and resize there, and images will look very bad.. 3 SLIDERS SECTION Our theme comes with a plethora of different shortcode. One of theme is the slider shortcode. Sliders are very important, that s why we created a separate section for slider. The slider section you can find in Appearance - > Sliders Let s create our first slider. Press the Create new slider button. Type the slider name. Press the Create Slider button.

4 Now we created our new slider. We need to add images and data into slider. Let s press Add a new Slider button. Add an Image and Info. Create as many slides as you need. Save the slider. You can use the slider in posts, pages etc. In the editor you have the Slider Shorcode button. By pressing this button you will be able to insert your slider into post. You can use this slider on Home page, or on about pages. You need to copy the slider slug and insert in in page options (when you create a page and select a template), slug field.

5 WIDGETS SETTING You theme comes with custom widgets, and different sidebars on different pages. On the screen you can view that sidebars are supported by out theme.

6 And of course you can view what custom widgets are ready to use in our theme Managing the widgets is very easy, you just need to drag and drop elements on the sidebar section, and play with options in widgets settings. That s all. BLOG SECTION Our theme comes with a lot of different styles for blog archive, and different post formats. You can add a simple post, a gallery post, a quote post or a video post. You just need to select the post format when you create a new post. View the screen Important. When you create a post you need to select an featured Image. This image will be show as thumbnail in blog archive and as top image on single post page. View the screenshot

7 Create a gallery post format. Create a post. In Format Section select the gallery format. Add a title and text in content area. Save the post. Now we will upload images in our slider. Press the Add media button Upload new images as attachments

8 After close the modal widnow, don t press Insert into post simply close the window. Look at the screen. Save the post and you will see new images in your gallery, Gallery Images Section You gallery post format post is ready to use. If you will go on your blog archive page you will see your new post. Create a video post format Create a post. In Format Section select the video format. Add a title and text in content area. Save the post. Add your video link in link field. You can put here the links from youtube.com, vimeo.com, blip.tv, dailymotion.com, flickr.com, smugmug.com, hulu.com, viddler.com, qik.com, revision3.com, photobucket.com, scribd.com, wordpress.tv, polldaddy.com, funnyordie.com, twitter.com, soundcloud.com, slideshare.net, instagram.com

9 MANAGING GALLERY ARCHIVE Our Socha theme is a photography theme, that s why we created a lot of different galleries grid. Let s create our first gallery. Go to Gallery section. Press Add new Gallery. Add a title and a text in textarea area.

10 Select the category, add a featured image, and upload images in slider as in blog gallery format.

11 If you didn t read in Blog section how to upload images in slider, you can read it now. Press the Add media button Upload new images as attachments

Save the gallery and you will see new images in your gallery, Gallery Images Section We created our first gallery, now we can add the Socha gallery archive page in our menu, or create new style of gallery archive using gallery templates. 13 archive in our menu, add the gallery archive item in menu MANAGING SHORTCODES Our theme comes with tons of shortcodes, and on each new update we add new shorcodes. How to use and manage shortcodes? Very simply, when you create a page or a post in the editor press the shortcode button, and select what shortcode to generate. Team shortcode Press the shortcode button and select the team item. In the modal window add data

18 MANAGE THEME OPTIONS After slider, you should manage other important parts of your future site. Let s talk about Theme Options. Here you are 5 sub menu Theme Home Social Advanced settings Sidebars Theme 1. Upload logo (Max-Width: 172px and Max-Height: 130px. Bigger Images will be resized) 2. Choose color. You can choose a site color. You have 9 different colors. (Default is Orange) 3. Upload Custom Background

19 4. Upload Custom favicon 5. Comment Style. You have 5 different comments systems. 1. Default comment system is Socha Comments. Text in comments are without formatting. When you select this option, check the form below called Ajax on comments. 2. You can choose Facebook Comments. 3. You can Install DISQUS Plugin and choose it. 4. You can Install Livefure Plugin and choose it. 5. You can select standard WordPress Comments system. Text in comments can be formatting by html tags. 6. You can close comments. Choose Disable All Comments 6. Social Sharing. You can show sharing or hide on blog post page. 7. Copyrights. You can edit footer text.

20 Home Here you can edit 2 modules. 1. Right menu box on home page (Put images, link, text and descriptions) or disable it. Important: Images sizes in Right Box menu are: px On this page inset 3 Titles, 3 Descriptions and 3 Links where you want to redirect. Upload 3 images with exactly size px. 2. About box on home page.

21 Insert box title and text about description. This block is shown on Home page. After Save Options Social On this option page put all your social accounts links, This box shows on home page. You can add links from: Facebook Twitter Google+ Pinterest Youtube Vimeo And you can show or hide the RSS icon Advanced Settings You can: Put Google Analytics Add some Footer Code if needed. Add Custom CSS Styles Change Site PreLoader (Enable or Disable. We recommend to be enable) Enable Comments form on Press Blog and choose one of five comments modules. Enable Comments form on Gallery Blog and choose one of five comments modules. Enable Comments form on Video Blog and choose one of five comments modules. Enable Comments form on Inspiration Blog and choose one of five comments modules. Enable Comments form on Testimonial Blog and choose one of five comments modules. Choose Home Page Bottom (You can enable 3 posts or replace them by 3 custom boxes.) etc

Select the template Save. Manage Homepage style 2,3,4 Select template

23 Save. After you will see You can change options. Manage Homepage Menu Manage menu is very simple. It s the default WordPress menu system. Go to Appearance -> Menus. Here you can create the menu and don t forgot to associate with Header Menu. Manage About page style 1 You have a custom page template for About page. Create a simple page, than choose the template to Template About and insert page title. Now you can click on Publish button.

24 After this on page will appear 2 additional textareas for Quote info and for Second column. The main editor area will put the content on first column. You can add a video link if you want to show video on About page. You have an option to show or hide slider. To upload images to slider, simply upload as attachments to this page by default WordPress Uploader. Manage About page style 2 Create a custom page, insert the title. Select the template Template About Two.

25 Save the page. After on this page will appear a box with more options. In this box insert all necessary info. Manage Contact page style 1 Contact page have a custom template. Simply create a new page, named Contact, choose template Template Contact and save the page. After you will see a new textarea called Map Code. Here you will put html code of your Google maps or other. Insert the content in main textarea and save the page. Now you can add this page in your menu. Go Appearance -> Menus. Manage Contact page style 2 Create a custom page, select template Template Contact Two, save, input all info sace one more time. That s all. Manage Gallery

26 To create a gallery simple go to Galeries -> Add New. Insert the Gallery title, insert text if you need and upload you images as attachments. Simply upload by default wordpress uploader. After save the post. The Gallery is ready. Go to Appearance -> Menus and put Gallery Archive in a menu. Upload images as attachments to display on slider. After you will see You have other 12 custom Gallery blog page. If you want to use one of a custom gallery layout, go to Pages -> Add New. Select Template Gallery Filter (if you want a filter) or Gallery Paginations (if you want a pagination). Insert title and Save the Page. After saving will appear a new box called Gallery Options. In this box you can choose styles. All done. Now you can add this page in your menu. Manage Post Types In this theme you have 5 different post types: Gallery Video Press Inspiration Testimonials You can manage it very easy. Create posts in this post types, after simply put post types archive in the menu. Important: If you want to show thumbnails on site, you must select a Featured Image on posts, pages or other post types. You can check the option to hide this Featured Image from gallery, and it will be shown only as a post thumbnail.

27 Manage Post Format You have 5 post formats Gallery Standard Video Qoute Image If you want to show you attachment images in a slideshow on top of the post, choose Gallery. Else you can choose Standard, and it will be show the featured image on the top of the post. Check Final Settings Go to Settings -> Reading.
