Mother Teresa ( ) Roman Catholic nun who founded the Missionaries of Charity in Calcutta, India. Well-known internationally for her advocacy for the rights of the poor and helpless.

Notorious for his global War on Terror, which included the invasion of Afghanistan and Iraq, leading the world to a global crisis. Gordon Brown (1951) Prime Minister of the UK and Leader of the Labour Party from 2007 until Powerful politician with an unpaid advisory role at the World Economic Forum.

Queen Elisabeth II (1926) The constitutional monarch of 16 sovereign states known as the Commonwealth realms and the Supreme Governor of the Church of England.

Nobel Peace Prize in (The 14 th ) Dalai Lama (1935) The most influential figure of Tibetan Buddhism, who talks about the importance of compassion as the source of a happy life. Nobel Peace Prize in 1989.

Nobel Physics Prize in All Gore (1948) American author and environmental activist who founded a number of non-profit organisations, including the Alliance for Climate Protection. 10 Make or Do? 'Do' for Activities Use the verb 'do' to express daily activities or jobs. Notice that these are usually activities that produce no physical object. (do homework / housework / the ironing / the dishes / do a job). 'Do' for General Ideas Use the verb 'do' when speaking about things in general, when we do not exactly name an activity. This form is often used with the words 'something, nothing, anything, everything, etc.' (I'm not doing anything today. / He does everything for his mother. / She's doing nothing at the moment.) 'Make' for Constructing, Building, Creating Use 'make' to express an activity that creates something that you can touch. (make food / make a cup of tea / coffee / make a mess).
