Putnam, P.Eng Director, Safety, Health & Environment As Director, Safety, Health and Environment, David Putnam oversees a multi-disciplined team of professionals across, which includes two operating mines, an exploration division and corporate offices. David has been with since 2005, first as Manager, Safety, Health and Environment, and since 2008 as the Director. In his current role, David is responsible for the company s Safety, Health and Environment programs and Sustainable Development strategy. A solutions-orientated Health, Safety and Environmental professional, David has 24 years of experience in the mining, petroleum and manufacturing sectors. Previous experience includes 10 years with Altech Environmental Consulting Ltd., where he built the company s environmental engineering and management practice providing services to multi-sector clients in the areas of environmental management, due diligence and acquisition audits, plant energy and process improvements, wastewater treatment, and permitting. David has also run his own environmental consultancy and worked as Staff Environmental Engineer for Imperial Oil Ltd in Toronto, ON. and as the Manager of Technical Services at CHT Steel Company, in Richmond Hill, ON. A member of the Professional Engineers of Ontario, David holds a B.A.Sc. Chemical Engineering from the University of Toronto, and a B.Sc. Chemistry from the University of Guelph.
2 Glen Koropchuk Chief Operating Officer Glen Koropchuk joined Inc. on November 1, 2011 bringing with him a multifaceted background and experience from mining projects and operations around the world. As Chief Operating Officer, Glen is primarily responsible for the Northwest Territories and leading the Snap Lake Mine team and the Gahcho Kué Project. He reports directly to Tony Guthrie, President and Chief Executive Officer of Inc. Glen came to Inc. from Anglo American Plc, where he had an extensive career, most recently as Chief Executive Officer of Anglo Coal Canada and Peace River Coal, managing Anglo American s metallurgical coal assets in northeastern British Columbia. Born and raised in Alberta, he started his mining career with Suncor in Fort McMurray, AB, as a junior engineer, and then joined Anglo American where he completed training in practical mining, engineering and supervision, in both underground and opencast coal operations in South Africa. After two years with the Anglo American and De Beers Chairman s Fund in Johannesburg as Management Assistant and Special Projects Officer responsible for sustainable development projects in southern Africa, he moved through progressively more responsible positions. He has broad experience in Project Management, Environmental Management, Mining Engineering and Mining Operations, in a number of countries, including South Africa, Namibia, Mali, Brazil, Russia, Colombia, Venezuela, the UK and Canada. He holds a B.Sc. Mining Engineering and M.Sc. Mineral Engineering from the University of Alberta.
3 Alex Hood Superintendent, Environment & Permitting Snap Lake Mine Alexandra (Alex) Hood is the Superintendent, Environment & Permitting at Snap Lake Mine, a position she has held since July In this role, Alex is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day environmental program at the mine and coordinating regulatory applications for the short- and long-term needs of the Snap Lake Mine. This includes managing consultants and contractors who support the Mine s Environment Department and ensuring the company s relationships with regulators and monitoring agencies, interveners and other decision makers are proactively managed. She is part of a multi-disciplined team of De Beers Canada professionals who are committed to the ongoing development of a world-class environmental management system. Alex joined in May 2010 as the Permitting Coordinator for Snap Lake Mine and has worked for the federal Department of Fisheries and Fisheries and Oceans, Public Works and Government Services, Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources and a number of non-government organizations. She holds a Bachelor of Environmental Studies from the University of Waterloo with Diplomas in Ecological Restoration and Environmental Assessment and a specialization in Wildlife and Vegetation Ecology.
4 Cathie Bolstad Director, External & Corporate Affairs NWT Projects Cathie A. Bolstad is the Director of External and Corporate Affairs for in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories. Her responsibilities include public, government and community relations, Aboriginal affairs, corporate affairs and employee communications for De Beers advanced exploration and mining projects in the Northwest Territories. Cathie negotiated De Beers Socio Economic Agreement for the Snap Lake Mine, as well as two of the company s four Impact Benefit Agreements. In her current capacity she oversees the Yellowknife Office operations, and champions the company s Toward Sustainable Mining (TSM) initiatives in the area of Crisis Communication Planning and Communities of Interest Stakeholder Relations. She is the company s Best Practice Principles (BPP) compliance officer, ensuring mining operations and contractors are living up to BPP, as required by the Diamond Trading Company, De Beers sales arm for rough diamonds. Prior to joining, Cathie was the Regional Director for CBC North Television, where she was responsible for television programming and operations in the Yukon, Northwest Territories, Nunavut and northern Quebec. Prior to working at CBC Television, Cathie worked for Northwestel Inc. for 17 years as a Communications Manager, Product Manager and Project Manager. Cathie Bachelor holds a B.A. in Economics and Political Science and an after-degree in Commerce, majoring in Marketing Communications. She is also a graduate of the Niagara Leadership Program.

6 Mufaro Chivasa Chief Geologist Snap Lake Mine In his role as Chief Geologist at Snap Lake Mine, Mufaro Chivasa is responsible for Mine Geology, Hydrogeology, Structural Geology and Resource Estimation. He has worked at Snap Lake Mine since 2007, starting as Senior Mine Geologist. During his career at the mine, Mufaro has developed digital databases and modeling procedures, hydrogeology models and procedures, mining and grade control procedures, surface and underground drilling procedures. Among his past experience, Mufaro has worked as a Mineral Resource Analyst, De Beers Corporate Office and as Senior Geologist for Anglo American Coal. He holds a B.Sc. (Honours) in Geology from the University of Zimbabwe, and M.Sc. in Geomatics, and a Diploma in Information Technology from the University of Cape Town.
