1 United Against Physical Inactivity Youth Exchange June, Hungary Info Pack for Participants In this document we will share some useful information with you concerning our Erasmus+ project entitled United Against Physical Inactivity (UNAPI) taking place in Pilismarót, Hungary June, SUMMARY OF THE PROJECT: United Against Physical Inactivity is a joint initiative of European youth and sport organisations aiming to combat low physical activity rates and sedentary lifestyle of young Europeans. The main objective of the project is to raise awareness on the importance of healthy and active living and to encourage young adults to do more sport in their everyday life. As the main activity of the project a 9 days-long youth exchange will be realized in June 2016, in the surroundings of the Danube Bend which offers various sport and outdoor activities for all. A total of 40 participants (4+1 from each country), aged between 18 and 25, will discover together the benefits of regular physical exercise by learning and practicing new sports. The target group of UNAPI involves young people with fewer opportunities who are motivated to make a change in their lives and local communities. The program of the youth exchange is based on active participation. Participants will develop key competences which help them to become advocates of healthy and active living. Besides acquiring knowledge on Health Enhancing Physical Activity (HEPA) and healthy eating habits, they will implement the theory into practice by planning and organizing sport activities for each other. Through non-formal learning methods we would also like to promote volunteering among them. 2. 2 Partner organizations are responsible for disseminating the call, coordinating the selection of the participants (4 young participants + 1 group leader) and disseminating the results in their networks. The realization of our project is supported by Hope For Children Hungary an internationally experienced Hungarian NGO. 3. DURATION OF THE PROGRAMME: June 19, 2016 June 29, days of full working activities + 2 travel days: Arrival date: 19 June (Sunday) Departure date: June 29 (Wednesday) 4. VENUE OF THE PROGRAMME: Alexandra Guest House and Restaurant (Pilismarót, Hungary). The address of the guesthouse is: 2028 Pilismarót, Akácfa üdülőpart 1793 hrsz. Website: TRANSFER TO THE VENUE: There is no direct bus between Budapest airport and the guesthouse, therefore at around 17:00 Sunday, 19 June transfer will be organized from Budapest centre to the venue. Participants will be informed on the transfer s exact time and place of departure in due time. Please try to arrive to Budapest city centre before 16:00 on Sunday. There are public buses running between Budapest Airport and Köbánya-Kispest which is the last stop of metro M3. M3 takes you to the city centre of Budapest.

3 5. TRAVEL TO BUDAPEST, HUNGARY: The travel costs from your home town to Budapest will be covered according to the rules of Erasmus+ Program. According to these rules we will reimburse the travel costs on the basis of the cheapest possibilities, e.g. second class railway tickets, APEXflights etc., proven with the original invoices, receipts, tickets or boarding cards etc. Please keep in mind that this is not a reimbursement covering all travel costs but a contribution to the travel costs of participants, from their place of origin to the venue of the return. This contribution was calculated through the utilization of Erasmus Plus distance calculator. The program of the youth exchange can change according to the needs of participants, the weather etc.! 7. PREPARATORY TASKS, PRACTICAL INFORMATION: Participation fee is 20 EUR which is to be paid at the time of your registration on Sunday, 19 June. Board, lodging, local transports and all materials of the youth exchange will be covered by the organizers. The participants should arrange their own insurance for their travel and stay in Hungary. All of the participants MUST have valid travel insurance for the duration of the youth exchange! Dietary requirements and special needs: If you have any dietary requirements or special needs that the organisers should be aware of, please notify your group leader before 1th June.

5 Social media: All selected participants are invited to join the facebook group of United Against Physical Inactivity as some other practical information and photos will be shared there: During the youth exchange digital photos and videos will be made which will be used to raise the visibility of the event. Our digital media material will be shared on social media and websites. Weather and clothing: The weather in Hungary is pretty warm in June, so be sure to pack comfortable clothes suitable for summer outdoor activities. We are going to update you with the weather forecast on the week before the youth exchange. The venue is located a few metres away from river Danube so please bring swimming clothes with you. Please also bring sport equipment for indoor and outdoor sports (hiking, ball games, swimming, canoeing, running, yoga etc). Intercultural evening: We are planning to organize an intercultural evening on the second day. This represents an opportunity for you to share elements of your culture and national cuisine with the others. Each country will have a certain amount of time to be on the red carpet and delight the rest of us with the beauty of its culture. Just a few examples of things you could prepare: food, drinks, dances, songs. We strongly recommend making this evening a very dynamic, interactive one without the use of Power Point presentations. Please try to keep this healthy and interesting and avoid clichés as much as possible. National games: We would like to ask you to prepare yourself with a traditional or creative sport activity to be presented during the youth exchange. The program of the youth exchange is based on active participation therefore we highly encourage you to share your own knowledge with the group. There is no ATM service operating at the guesthouse. If you want to exchange some money for Hungarian forints (HUF), you should do it in Budapest before the transfer or during the daytrip n2. We strongly advise you to avoid changing money at Budapest Airport.
