The conclusions were drawn as follow s: ( 1 ) The conic relationship existed between the corridor and the urban land2 scape. ( 2) The combination of the corridor and the urban landscape was not changing synchro2 nously, but the extents were changing accordantly. ( 3) The corridors effect caused clearly the change of the urban landscape, and then the urban landscape was often expanding directionally. The result could p rovide the reference for the extending urban landscape and the p rotection of the environm ent. Key words: corridors effect; urban landscape; expanding; central area; Guangzhou
