3 What YARE is all about The experience of the two first editions, , led us to re-think this event with the aim of maximising the return of benefits for both, exhibitors and visitors through a modular formula that will cover a longer period of time with different goals and formats. From 6th to 8th of February Seatec Carrara (the International exhibition technologies subcontracting and design for boats and megayachts) for the first time hosted a specific Yare superyacht route and pavilion. From 9th to 12th of April the focus will be transferred to Viareggio during the traditional ISF Italian Superyacht Forum, organized by The Superyacht Group. Soon, during 2013, Yare will also announce, the launching of an ambitious program (Yare ) that will give continuity to its activity along the years to come: A coordinated web framework for masters and stakeholders. Currently not less than 5/6 bloggers are leading crew & masters information exchange through web. Yare candidates to offer them a coordinated platform to enhance and facilitate networking and information exchange within Super Yacht communities. An extensive program of workshop and seminars promoted by Penta (Pole of innovation in the nautical and marine technologies) will also enrich Yare events. Yare will so grant to exhibitors and participants, high value contents with particular respect to: the need of the industry to promote itself to a larger, and qualified international presence through the driving strengh of Seatec ( over professional visitors 6% of which from outside Italy). the opportunity to exploit B2B and B2C organised meetings during both events, with the most qualified Super Yacht captains and senior crew member from all over the word, whose travel costs will be financed by Tuscany s Region promotional funds. The selection of invitation has been done within a panel of over names put toghether merging several database. the understanding of the industries dynamics for the future, discussed during the Italian Superyacht Forum by the most respected experts from around the world both on stage and within the audience. The need of captains and industry to find an easier way to communicate between each other and to find relevant updated professional contents on their activity. The new formula is also structured with the aim to offer modular subscription packages, that will allow to reduce costs to what is considered strictly usefull by each participants. 4 The global superyacht fleet outlook: Over 30% of the 4700 large yachts sailing the world s seas were built in Italian shipyards. More than 60% of technology used on board the entire fleet is made in Italy. 48% of the world s fleet has chosen a home port in Europe, mainly in the Mediterranean. Along our coasts, we get more than 6500 annual calls from large Yachts. These are just some of the numbers of an undisputed record, with Tuscany holding a leading role of excellence with its industrial craft innovation, service and welcoming skills An impressive growing fleet, an interesting market for Refit & Repair /After market Superyacht industry. Superyacht fleet has been growing year by year. In the last 2 decades, the fleet has reached 4680 yacht more than 30 metres lenght. It is a realtively young fleet, even if a 43% of the yacht were built before yacht compared to the global fleet of 4680 were built in Italy. 5 The global superyacht newbuilding orderbook: the Italian shipyard leadrship italian superyacht. Italian Superyacht industry is leading the newbuilding global orderbook with a portfolio market share of 36%. It is not hence a real sector rather a production chain where we can point out 3 different level of professional figures and concerned type of producers. At the top of the chain there are the boatyards, or else the final boat sellers, more down supplier of 1st level work on engines, wooden elements, fibreglass components, carpenter, plants and accessories, at the bottom are 2nd level suppliers dealing with raw wooden poles, virgin fibreglass, hardware for carpenter, and chemical components for the assembling phase.
