9 7 5. Preparation Prior to using the Bluetooth Sports Earphones, first charge the integrated lithiumpolymer battery. You can then connect the earphones to a Bluetooth device such as a Smartphone or a Tablet PC Charging the battery Prior to using the Bluetooth Sports Earphones or in case of low charge level, the integrated battery must be charged. A low charging level is indicated, by the earphones giving off five audio signals every five minutes and the flashing control LED. To charge the battery, the supplied USB charging cable must be connected to the earphone marked with R, as shown below. Insert the upper end of the earphones cable into the provided cable support at the USB charging cable. Now open the retaining clamp by pushing it together. Connect the contacts of the retaining clamp to the contacts of the earphones and close retaining clamp again.
10 Fixing ear adapters and over ear holder The earphones are supplied with three different sized ear adapters, from which you can select the suitable size. Push the desired ear adapter over the loudspeaker of your earphones until it is fully covered. Simply pull off earphones to change adapter. To attain a better hold when wearing the earphones, the supplied over ear holder can also be used. Please do not cover the microphone with the over ear holder. To avoid this, the over ear holder has a cut out for the microphone Switching earphones on and off Switch on the Bluetooth Sports Earphones by keeping the multi-function button depressed [ ] for approx. 4 seconds until the blue control LED flashes During switch-on the last used Bluetooth connection is automatically reinstated. To switch off the earphones again, keep multi-function button- [ ] depressed for approx. another 4 seconds until the red control LED lights up for approx. 1 sec Establish Bluetooth connection In order to establish a new connection between the Bluetooth Sports Earphones and a Bluetooth device, the earphones must be switched on in the connection mode. Whilst the earphones are switched off hold down multi-function key [ ] for approx. 8 seconds until the control LED flashes blue and red.
11 9 The process for establishing a connection can differ depending on the Bluetooth device. Please also check the manual of the Bluetooth device for further information. Now proceed as follows: 1. The distance between the Bluetooth Sports Earphones and Bluetooth device should not exceed 1 meter. 2. Switch on Bluetooth Sports Earphones in connection mode (see above). 3. Activate you re the Bluetooth function in your Bluetooth device. 4. Search for Bluetooth devices within the range and select entry BTH100 from the list of available devices. 5. Where required enter password 0000 (not required for devices using Bluetooth V2.1 or higher). 6. If the device prompts to establish a connection, select Yes. 7. Select the Bluetooth list of the mobile device BTH After successful connection the control LED of the earphones light up blue every 4 sec. Information about establishing a connection: If it is not possible to connect, switch off the earphones and try again. Maybe the battery of the earphones has to be recharged or the distance to the Bluetooth device must be decreased. Once a connection has been established it is stored in the earphones and in the Bluetooth device. The connection is then automatically established as soon as the earphones and the Bluetooth are within range again. The Bluetooth Sports Earphones can store up to 8 connections. In the event of more than 8 connections, the oldest connection is deleted, when a new connection is stored. When switched on, the Bluetooth Sports Earphones automatically connect to the last connected Bluetooth device. In order to connect to another device as per sections 1-8, the Bluetooth function of the currently connected device should first of all be switched off.
12 Establishing multiple connections The Bluetooth Sports Earphones offer the option of establishing simultaneous connections to two Bluetooth devices. Proceed as follows: 1. Connect the first device to the earphones as described in section Switch on earphones by keeping the multi-function button [ ] depressed for approx. 8 seconds, thus reactivating the connecting mode. 3. Now establish the connection to a second Bluetooth device as described in section Connect the first Bluetooth device again to the earphones. Information about multiple connections: The devices store the connections after successful multiple connection. The devices do therefore not have to be set up again when used next. During switch-on the earphones automatically connect to the last two connected Bluetooth devices. To switch off the multiple connection mode, first change to the Standby mode (no Bluetooth device connected). Hold down the multi-function button [ ] and button [+] at the same time until a reducing sound is audible.
