7 Course Description Arabic Language 1 (-0) This course contains a set of linguistic skills in different levels such as the sounds of the Arabic language, its morphology, syntax, rhetoric, lexicography and writing. It includes as well as on applications on the use of Arabic dictionaries and applications on some writing skills indispensable for scholars in their working lives. It also contains a refined set of Quranic, poetry and short stories of Arabic texts to give the learners the opportunity to be in contact with and to appreciate these texts. Prerequist Arabic 99 or passing Arabic Level Exam Arabic Language 2 (-0) This course aims to develop student's skills in writing and expression and to provide him with the necessary and basic ones in order to employ them in his daily use, and enable him to stand on the origins of various Arabic scripts, and access to various forms of technical and functional old and new writing. Prerequist English 1 (-0) Is a complete graded course for foreign learners of English; it covers the skills of listening, speaking, reading, and writing; as well as improving pronunciation and building vocabulary; particular emphasis is placed on listening and speaking; the language of the course is British English. Prerequist English 99 or passing English Level Exam English 2 (-0) Is a continuation of English I Course in terms of approach and methodology However, it covers a new range of interesting topics, and provides a more advanced grammar syllabus in a communicative context as well, therefore, this topic tends to be a continuation of ENGL 101 goals. Prerequist Computer Skills 1 (0-6) An introduction to computing and the broad field of information technology. Topics covered include the basic structure of digital computer systems; operating systems; application software; data communication and networks; and the Internet hands-on learning emphasizes windows (latest operating systems); MS-Office; and the Internet Military Science (-0) This course aims at providing university students with general military culture and illustrating the overall military capabilities of the armed forces to defend the homeland and its role in development and service of the Jordanian society through lectures and field visits National Education (-0) The course of National Education is one of the compulsory requirements of all students in Jordanian universities, national and private. The general intent is to provide students with the theoretical and practical knowledge of the homeland (Jordan), land and people, and to consolidate the love of the homeland and national brotherhood in them, to motivate them to serve the nation and the people consciously and sincerely, to be innovative and competitive by exhortations to achieve the desired progress in various fields of life.

8 Course Description Principles of Microeconomics Covers: an examination of the processes of price determination, output, resource allocation in perfect and in imperfect competition, labor economic international trade, and an alternative economic system Principles of Macroeconomics Covers: a study of the basic economic concepts emphasizing analysis of the aggregate economy, the fundamental concepts of national income and its determination, economic fluctuations, monetary and fiscal policies, and economic growth Principles of insurance Covers: the concept of insurance (principles, advantages, risks related to insurance, types, Islamic view to insurance, insurance legislations, insurance contract, producers, social and economical importance for insurance, the supervision of insurance, reinsurance goals) Islamic banking management Covers: the concepts of Islamic banks (establishment and characteristics, the activities of this bank in comparison with traditional banks, types of accounts in Islamic banks, management of assets and liabilities with central bank, performance evaluation and challenges) Financial management Covers: an introduction about basic concept of financial management (objectives functions, financial statements, time value, and financial analysis) Introduction of banking management Covers: banks and their establishment in the economy of the country, the financial system in Jordan, financial statements for commercial banks, growth, and management of fund resources Methods of scientific research in economics and finance &banking Covers: the importance of research methodology role in economic and financial studies, methods of scientific research, the analytical dimension in economics research Finance and banking sciences, economic modeling, steps, specifying problem, evaluating added relics for research and management study ( research plan) as added work Public finance Covers: The concept of public finances, the distinction between public and private financial, methods used to obtain revenue, the concept of tenure of fiscal policy and its development, and the meaning of maintenance of public and its members and its objectives and functional division of public expenditure, the budget deficit and the debt problem and the role of fiscal policy in achieving the financial and economic stability Financial studies in English Covers: strategies of developing students' skills in reading and writing English terminology in the field of Banking and Financial Studies, the art of writing letters to communicate with banking and financial institutions International financial Covers: definition of Multinational Corporation and its significance in world economy, economical and political environment related to these corporations, risks in worldwide markets and how to manage these risk, evaluating techniques, fund sourcing, and practical issues

9 Course Description Financial Analysis & forecasting Covers: financial statement procedures and its uses for evaluating the firm achievement, the analyzing techniques, economic value, the relationship of the financial analysis with the common stock of the firms in the securities market Economic Feasibility studies and project evaluation Covers : nature and scope of feasibility studies, project evaluation framework for engineering and technical feasibility studies: inputs operations outputs, time value of money, break even analysis, cash flows of project, commercial profitability standards, evaluation of projects, investment decisions, and case studies Principles of investment Covers: the study of the elements of the analysis in investment decisions, the tools available in investment strategies, investment decisions, investment appraisal techniques, the importance of fundamental analysis and technical operations in making investment decisions Computer applications in finance &banking Covers: the basic concepts related to computer financial software's, the use of computer financial software of these computer table (excel) in financial and banking activities, and the use of data base in financial and banking activities Management of international & local banking operations Covers: an introduction to banking management (types and basic characteristic of banks, organizing structure for banks fund sourcing (internal and external), ratio analysis, capital structure for banks, comprehensive banking, credit loans policy, collaterals, information sourcing and implementation activates discussion; and the importance of correspondent banks, letters of credit, transfers; bank checks, travel checks, international commercial documents, and syndicated loans.) This course views the investment process by explaining its concepts, objectives and later moves to examine the procedures adopted for financial securities, as in stocks and bonds.
