2 About us History PMB Shelving Office Furniture is a family owned company established in the early 70's as a supplier of second hand shelving, office furniture and basic business equipment. From its humble beginnings the company grew to become a recognized and established supplier of new and second hand shelving and office furniture to businesses throughout Pietermaritzburg and large parts of the KZN and Eastern Cape area. The company later adventured into catering equipment and commercial refrigeration and various other business equipment products ensuring its the only one-stop business equipment centre in southern Africa. We now hosts a large range of local and imported products to suit the needs and applications of businesses from various different industries. We ve has grown to specialize in basic shelving and office furniture needs as well the more advanced and sophisticated application requirements. We now have over 30 years experience, having serviced thousands of businesses in various areas of the country. 4 Shelving Systems and Solutions Gondola Shelving The PMB Shelving Gondola System has been so ingeniously designed that it can be installed in a matter of hours without any substantial dislocation of business. All units, shelves and fittings are interchangeable, and can be assembled with ease and speed. The Gondola System is ideally suited for use in a wide range of retail outlets including pharmacies, supermarkets, bottle stores, hardware stores and various retail stores. Rivet Shelving Durable shelving ideal for use, in warehouses, offices and retail stores. PMB s single rivet beam high density shelving is designed to provide for maximum vertical clearance between shelves. Access to stored items from all sides is possible because side and back cross braces are not necessary for stability. PMB s Rivet Shelving is designed to provide an economical solution for the storage and display of retail, wholesale or industrial goods. Installation can be done without special tools in a minimal amount of time. Bolted Steel Shelving Shelving that adapts to your specialised needs. PMB S General Purpose Steel Shelving is a spaceeffective and economical storage system for virtually any light-duty application. Manufactured from quality steel and modular in design, General Purpose Steel Shelving is designed for versatility and ease of installation, and can be easily adjusted or relocated. A comprehensive range of accessories is available including shelf dividers, drawers and kickplates Open Braced Bolted Steel Shelving Open Braced Bolted Steel Shelving is the most basic and economical shelving design for general purpose use. Back and sides are open, except that sections are stabilised by means of cross braces on the back and sides. Closed Back and Side Bolted Steel Shelving Closed Back and Side Bolted Steel Shelving units are closed on three sides with steel panels to provide stability, protection of the items stored and to promote cleanliness of these items. When units are joined side by side and back to back, a common side or back panel is used between the two units achieving a large cost saving. 5 Racking Systems and Solutions Selective Pallet Racking Maximum Storage Flexibility and Versatility. The most common method of storing pallets is Selective Pallet Racking, a storage system designed to provide ready access to every pallet. It can be serviced by virtually any type of forklift including Counterbalance and Reach Trucks. Requiring a relatively low capital investment, selective pallet racking is ideal where flexibility, access and speed of operation are the main objectives of the system. Selective pallet racking can also be easily adjusted or relocated at any time. Light Duty Racking PMB s Light duty racking system consists of light duty frames and beams for industrial storage applications. This product is very versatile and is a cost effective solutions. When racking is too big and shelving too light, the answer is PMB s Light Duty rack. This revolutionary new product has taken the market by storm and has found use amongst many different industries including homes and garages, it has found favour with major file storage companies and light goods warehousing. Narrow Aisle Racking The system is served by specialised high lift fork rotating materials handling devices operating in very narrow aisles. The benefit being up to 50 % saving in aisle width when compared to a counter balance forklift, whilst achieving up to double the stacking height Drive in Racking It is purpose designed to provide the space efficiency and high volume storage of block stacking, with easy access to pallets. It is ideal for industry with high pallet quantities. Available up to 12 metres high, PMB s Drive in Racking is tailored to pallet, load size and handling equipment. Picking and replenishment is facilitated by means of conventional forklift trucks, keeping costs to a minimum. Channels can only be served in one direction. Push Back Racking PMB s Push Back Pallet Racking provides highly effective use of space by combining highdensity storage with high-speed access. The system offers safe and dense storage for 2, 3 and 4 pallet deep storage. Typically up to 5 pallets high Pallets are gravity fed via the front using conventional handling equipment and retrieved from the same aisle, so the pick face remains constantly full. Push Back Racking operates on the FILO (First In, Last Out) principle. 5
