Sustainably Improving your Bottom Line Small Scale On Site AD Specialists smart BIOSYSTEMS UK AD BIOGAS & WASTE-2-ENERGY TURNKEY SOLUTIONS
smart BIOSYSTEMS UK 2 Who we are and what we do AD BIOGAS & WASTE-2-ENERGY TURNKEY SOLUTIONS Smart BioSystems UK Ltd., provides turnkey AD Biogas plants of nominal capacity from 100KW to 1MW. However, our competitive advantage is in the KWe range, with our small scale on site AD solutions. Our team consists of highly experienced individuals working for at least the last 10 years in international Renewable Energy Markets. Our core commercial team combines engineers, agronomists and business professionals based and operating in the UK RES market for the last five years with a track record of deliverables. Members of We have also developed, our own AD Plant Monitoring and Control software Maverick 1.0, which is user friendly for operators with low technology skills, and reduces O&M costs by identifying degradation trends before major system failures to make sure your plant delivers the benefits we promise.
smart BIOSYSTEMS UK 3 Our Turnkey Solutions We are treating waste as a resource, using primarily on-site generated waste to provide a plug n play solution with low O&M Requirements. This way we help our customers eliminate logistics and waste disposal costs, get low cost thermal energy and electricity, and generate extra revenue streams which improve their bottom line with minimum involvement. Our Flagship solutions are standardised micro CHP AD plants ranging from KWe. They generate clear economic and social benefits and guaranteed efficiency/performance. These solutions are ideal for easy grid connection even in remote locations, and have offgrid operation capabilities, using only minimal space on-site (25m x 25m). Suppliers:
Proposition One Direct Asset Purchase smart BIOSYSTEMS UK 4 SHORT PAYBACK PERIODS Our solutions guarantee short payback periods, making sure you start generating profits as early as possible. Depending on feedstock quality/availability, projects can break even before year 4. COST EFFICIENT O&M CONTRACTS We provide sufficient training to get you familiar with the basic maintenance needs, and with the help of our user friendly software, we can access your plant remotely to avoid expensive call outs, so that you maximise returns. DEBT FINANCE SOLUTIONS WITH NO COLLATERAL Depending on your credit rating, we can utilise a number of debt facility providers through our network, to help you raise the funds required at the best possible terms, without collaterals. ALL GOVERNMENT INCENTIVES AVAILABLE FOR 20 YEARS Your plant will be eligible for the Feed in Tariff and under certain circumstances you will also benefit from the Renewable Heat Incentive, which provides a substantial revenue stream. CHEAP THERMAL ENERGY & ELECTRICITY We offer the choice for local consumption of Electricity and Thermal Energy under a Power Purchase Agreement, to ensure you can buy both the electricity and heat generated at under standard market rates, so that you can improve the bottom line of your facility. USE OF THE DIGESTATE AS BIO-FERTILISER After the AD treatment, the residue is 100% pathogen free, and has reduced odours. The digestate can be a substantial revenue stream if you decide to exploit it commercially we can help you through our network to achieve this. OPTIMAL USE OF WASTE - COMPLIANCE WITH ALL FUTURE REGULATION Our installations provide the best solution for treating waste locally to comply with all Environmental Agency, National and EU existing and upcoming regulation which will ban organic waste from landfills. Moreover, you benefit by not paying gate fees and logistics to dispose your waste. MARKET YOUR FACILITY AS SOCIALLY RESPONSIBLE AND SUSTAINABLE The AD plant ticks all the boxes in the sustainability checklist. All retailers and food chains are promoting such initiatives, so make sure you don t miss out the opportunity to market your facility as such and increase your sales. ZERO DECOMISSIONING COSTS Our installations are consisting by 80% of stainless steel a marketable and expensive commodity. There are no permanent structures, so when you decide to decommission the plant, experience says that you will most probably be earning instead of paying.
Investment proposition Two Free installation smart BIOSYSTEMS UK 5 ZERO CAPITAL EXPENDITURE We work with a wide network of funders / investors who will fund the construction, so you can start enjoying the benefits of AD without needing to commit any money or get into debt. FREE PROJECT EQUITY UP TO 10% (DEPENDING ON WASTE FEEDSTOCK AVAILABILITY/QUALITY) Early adopters are offered a free equity stake in the plant up to 10% (depending on the the feedstock quality and existing infrastructure), and receive dividends as an extra income. IMMEDIATE SUBSTANTIAL EXTRA REVENUE FOR MANAGING THE WORK- FLOW OF THE PLANT An extra income source in the form of a fixed monthly fee (depending on feedstock availability/quality and overall management needs of the plant), is offered for the everyday operation and basic maintenance of the plant to reflect the time committed to the task. Full training will be provided. 7 smart BIOSYSTEMS UK 7 Innovation The use of arable land and energy crops for energy generation is ethically wrong and economically unsustainable on a planet that is expected to face food security issues in the coming decades. We believe that there is always room for improvement through innovation that makes sense and is applicable at reasonable cost. This is the only way to resolve problems, improve efficiencies, make economies work at all scales and eventually reap all the benefits AD offers by processing organic waste, not only for economic gains but also for benefiting the local communities at the micro-economic level sustainably. To achieve this, we are continuously working on utilising an extensive innovation network, through collaboration with leading academics and research institutions in AD all over Europe. With hands on experience and a thorough understanding of the needs of an AD plant, we are currently working to bring to market improved processes and innovative modules for global application, either as retrofits in existing or newly build AD plants of any scale.
Investment Investment Ready Project Portfolio St. John s Innovation Centre, Cowley Road, CB4 0WS, Cambridge info@smartbiosystemsuk.com smart BIOSYSTEMS UK AD BIOGAS & WASTE-2-ENERGY TURNKEY SOLUTIONS Smart Biosystems UK is developing portfolios of AD projects valued between 5m 10m which are investment ready. The projects exploit both Feed In Tarriff and Renewable Heat Incentive which are governmental incentives applicable for 20 years RPI linked. Furthermore export PPA contracts are in place with bankable PPA Providers with options for short term energy trading or long term fixed prices. Our team has a track record of working with VCs, Angel Investors and E.I.S. funds across the Renewable Technology Spectrum.
