To maitai the records all cosultats ad cotractors as part of their cotract are required to supply the followig iformatio. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS The provisio of record documet iformatio is madatory for all built ifrastructure additios or alteratios as it is available ad o later tha immediately after costructio or occupacy. Each documet, specificatio, drawig, etc. shall clearly idetify the CAMPUS, BUILDING NAME & BUILDING NUMBER. Please apply to UiSpace for a buildig Number if a ew facility is to be costructed or added to the ivetory. At costructio completio ad/or occupacy, architectural ad all other services record iformatio (refer ext page for more details) is to be forwarded i the followig format:- 1 copy of digital data i DWG format with ALL exterally refereced files (X-REFs) to be combied (AutoCAD BIND) iclude AutoCAD pc3 file (pe settigs) ad saved ito oe file. 1 copy of above documets i PDF format 1 set of Operatig & Maiteace Mauals. 2 Detailed Record Documet Requiremets These are typically miimum levels of documetatio. Record iformatio is madatory for every project. All record iformatio icludig cotract variatios is required at the ed of costructio ad if possible prior to occupatio. For all queries cotact UiSpace. The followig record iformatio is madatory for every project, oly the extet will vary depedat o project size ad complexity. All iformatio / documetatio shall be labelled to clearly idetify the space where alteratios have occurred, by statig the campus, buildig ame, buildig umber, ad room umbers. ALL INFORMATION IS TO BE IN DIGITAL FORM. Drawigs are to be i DWG format with ALL exterally refereced files (X-REFs) to be combied (AutoCAD BIND) ad saved ito oe file ad textural documets i Microsoft Word (.DOC), RTF or idexed PDF format ad iclude AutoCAD pc3 file (pe settigs). Architectural Clearly dimesioed ad labelled plas ad elevatios showig Walls, Doors, Widows ad all fixed furiture showig all variatios icurred durig costructio. 3 Operatio ad Maiteace Mauals For complete specificatio refer to Referece Guides Room/space Numberig Space umberig follows the covetio of startig from the mai etrace to each floor ad followig a logical sequece umberig clockwise. The first space beig the etrace corridor or foyer ad the first room o the left. Whe refurbishmet forms subdivisio of existig spaces, those subdivisios take a alpha suffix. All room re-umberig requires approval ad sig off by UiSpace prior to costructio ad door sigage applicatio. 5 Digital Data Structure Computer Geerated Models ad Drawigs Where possible models ad drawigs created with CAD of projects, both ew works & alteratios to existig, ad forwarded to the Uiversity should match The Uiversity of Adelaide structure described below. Data Bases Each buildig is a CAD database i its ow right ad each level/floor is a symbol (AutoCAD-block) withi that database. No models are used except for the assemblig of sub-figures to form a 3D model i the database. The database ame shall be o loger tha 8 (eight) characters, ad represet the actual buildig ame. Symbols (AutoCAD - blocks) Names for symbols shall be o loger tha ie (9) characters, ad ot be coected to database ames etc. Layer Names CAD databases oly have umeric labels for each layer ad the data o each layer is accordig to the Uiversity of Adelaide stadard. Exchage Media Drawig data shall be i DWG format (BOUND) with the pc3 file. Preferred media for trasfer is CDROM or ed to UiSpace at uispace@adelaide.edu.au All files set via are to be zipped to oe file.
