Whilst nothing is completely 'fit and forget', the maintenance required to keep your rown omposite Door performing and looking as good as the day it was installed is genuinely minimal. It is a legal requirement that replacement doors and frames comply with Approved Document Part L of the Building Regulations for England and Wales. To cope with the most rigorous of environmental extremes, rown omposite Doors are coated with thermosetting resins - the same material used on ships 6 and even spacecraft - which become set after curing. This cure is so complete that even reheating will not reverse the chemical process that created them, thus they remain strong and durable whatever the temperature. 17 From the hinges to the locks - security is built in all round The hinges on our entrance doors feature a unique interlocking action which, when coupled with the 3 hook locks operating in opposing directions, mean that your door is held firm within its frame. Key for optional 5-lever lock OptIonal lock with 5-lever DUALSEURE security - STANDARD OR AUTO* Inside you can opt for a key or our 'keyless' thumbturn which offers easy opening without a key Small but mighty - the secret to our security For enhanced security, our unique DUALSEURE locking system (Patent Pending) goes far beyond any other multi-point locking system available. Its exceptional security features include a cleverly concealed function that independently deadlocks the complete multipoint lock as soon as you throw the door handle up (auto option), or by key turn. This feature effectively restricts the movement of all locking parts and provides exceptional levels of security....with peace of mind easy egress Being secure shouldn't stop you from easily operating your door whenever you choose and especially in an emergency. You can choose from a range of options for locking and unlocking your door including manual or auto deadlock and keys and 'keyless' thumbturn devices which mean there is no need to keep your key in the door. Talk to your installer to find the combination of locks and operating actions that are right for you, your home and how you live. The optional lock's locking bar is concealed but, once activated, prevents the rest of the multipoint lock from moving. MAIN 3-POINT LOK FITTED AS STANDARD Lower hookbolt - three bolts make up the standard central lock on rown doors which together with the interlocking hinges mean your door is held firm within its frame Easy to operate - raise handle to engage the 3 multipoint lock hooks and turn the key to deadlock*. Turn the key back and lower handle to unlock Easy thumbturn option can be fitted as an alternative to the standard internal key High security 'bump resistant' cylinder fitted as standard and Kitemarked to BS1303 * When the optional auto Dualsecure lock is fitted, throwing the handle engages the 'lock-out' deadlock even if you forget to turn the key in the main lock. There are numerous options for how the main and optional locks work together - your local installer will be able to guide you through all of the options to find the best security solution for you. INSURANE APPROVED SEURITY The combined locking system shown above for our rown omposite Doors is designed to meet British Standards PAS24, BS8621 and BS10621, which means your insurance company will be happy with your choice too. 17
