6 Class 6 - Fire Protection - Hydrants on public and private streets, and private property which are furnished, installed and maintained by the Authority: Per hydrant Per quarter $ Per annum $ Bills will be rendered quarterly in arrears and are due and payable when rendered. If hydrants are installed at any time during a billing period, the charge SPECIAL PROVISIONS 1. The rate set forth above shall be effective only with respect to hydrants not served under a state, municipal or federal contract. 2. Request for the installation of public fire hydrants must be made in writing, by an authorized official of the municipality, specifying the exact location of the required hydrant. Where request is made to change the location or move a hydrant, the entire expense of the work must be borne by the municipality requesting the change. 3. Water may be taken from any public hydrant only by duly authorized members of a fire company, which, pursuant to a contract, is providing fire protection to a municipality which is located wholly or partly within the Authority District, or of another fire company, which, pursuant to a mutual aid agreement, is providing such protection, for the sole purpose of extinguishing fires. Water shall not be taken from any public fire hydrant, either by duly authorized members of one of such fire departments or by any other person for any purpose other than extinguishing fires, unless specifically authorized by the Authority. SPECIAL PROVISIONS - PRIVATE FIRE PROTECTION (a) All water used for fire protection only. (b) Contracts remain in force from the date thereof but may be terminated by the customer upon thirty (30) days notice.
7 Class 7 Fire Suppression System Risers for hose connections and/or sprinkler heads: Per Quarter Through 2 Fire Service Connection or less $ More than 2 but not exceeding 3 Fire Service Connection $ More than 3 but not exceeding 4 Fire Service Connection $ More than 4 but not exceeding 6 Fire Service Connection $ More than 6 but not exceeding 8 Fire Service Connection $ Bills will be rendered quarterly in advance and are due and payable when rendered. If services are installed at any time during a billing period, the charge SPECIAL PROVISIONS (a) (b) (c) Agreement effective for term of not less than one year. Service may be discontinued after one year upon thirty (30) days prior notice to the Authority. Each fire suppression system service line installation is to be used solely and exclusively for fire protection. Water for any other purpose shall not be drawn from a private connection, except that the Authority will permit the use of water for test purposes upon three (3) days prior notification to the Authority. The use of water in violation of the terms of this provision shall result in cancellation of service under this classification, whereupon the customer shall be rendered service under metered Water Service Class No. 1 to 5, as applicable and shall be at the rates set forth therein. Customers requiring private fire protection must supply, install and maintain, at customer s expense a fire meter or a detector check valve with by-pass meter on the fire service line.
8 SCHEDULE Class 8 Other Hydrant Use. Water drawn from hydrants for purposes other than fire protection and for purposes other than specified: *$3.95 per ccf. MINIMUM CHARGE $ minimum charge payable in advance for which the customer will be entitled to use 32 ccf of water in the six month period stated in the permit. Water in excess of such allowance will be billed at the rate above stated, and the bill will be due and payable when rendered.
