3 TROPICAL LIVING - WORKSHOP BALI INTERIOR & ARCHITECTURE The course is designed with the fact in mind that Bali is one of the world s most popular tourist destinations due to its unique blend between local culture, traditional architecture and tropical landscapes. Tropical Living Program offers 2 weeks workshop on Interior Design and Architecture. It is a comprehensive course about Bali interior and architecture, ranging from traditional to contemporary concept, design and styles. During the course, participant will have the opportunity to visit award winning interior and architecture design of resorts and other hospitality designs; meet professionals; and learn how local Balinese Architecture has influenced their resorts projects in India and other regions. The program covers classes, workshop, 4 excursions, guest lecturing, architecture studio and social activities, which bring the study abroad program and the learning process more attractive and exciting. Participants from university participants will gain academic benefit and at the same time be able to develop their soft skills, cross-cultural leadership and social skills. MATERIALS A. Studio Project: HOSPITALITY DESIGN on holiday resorts (lobby, guest rooms, wellness/ SPA, restaurant, bar, villa, etc.) Student Project aims to extend participants understanding beyond theoretical discourse by observing, comparing, designing and creatively bringing ideas of harmony between the living concept of Western (tourist) and the tradition of tropical life in the East B. Supporting Subjects: 1. Indonesian Geography & Culture 2. Bali Architecture & Interior 3. Interior Design 4. Hospitality Design Important issues: Maximum Credits earned: 5 ECTS Duration of study: 2 weeks Eligible participants include students from the background of interior design, architecture and fine arts. Professionals are also welcome to join this summer workshop. Study cost: Euro 985 all-inclusive including tuition fees, workshop kits, 2-week accommodation, excursions cost and farewell dinner. Not included: daily meals and personal expenses.
