2 Product features universal headlight Module functions available The main light functions are equipped with H7 low beam Ø 160 mm (for right-hand or left-hand traffi c) and H1 high beam Ø 116 mm. The signal light functions (Ø 90 mm) are equipped with indicator PY21W and position light R5W as standard. Alternative equipment of the position light with Ø 90 mm H11 cornering light inc. position light W5W or Ø 90 mm daytime running light (all three LEDs on) with position light (2 LEDs on) available. Equipped with headlight leveller system as standard. Versions without headlight leveller can be realised if there is suffi cient demand. Arrangement and installation As far as is permitted by fi tting requirements, modular arrangement of the light functions in the 90 mm openings (top/bottom) in the headlights can be realized if there is suffi cient demand. The housing is equipped with a central plug-type connection for fast connection of the light functions when the headlight is installed in the vehicle. Headlight leveller module and LED functions have separate electrical connections: Central plug: matching counterplug 7-pole Tyco C For daytime running light: matching counterplug 3-pole Tyco C For headlight leveller: matching counterplug 4-pole Tyco C Partial cover-up of the areas not required for photometric reasons (e. g. by the body) can be checked in individual cases. Advantages of the universal headlight compared with 90 mm module confi gurations The universal headlight Combines four or fi ve light functions in one housing. This reduces installation effort and thus shortens installation time. Only has 4 attachment points. With module headlights, on the other hand, 12 attachment points are required for 4 modules. Use of this headlight means some investments are not necessary, since a separate carrier frame and trim are not required. Has a central external plug. This allows fast electrical connection to the vehicle electric system. Looks like a vehicle-specifi c headlight with pattern-free lens. Much greater illumination in the side areas for a much better overall view and orientation at the edge of the road. Resulting in more safety when driving in the dark. Better homogeneity and more intensity in close-range illumination, for a good view directly in front of the vehicle, an advantage particularly for buses. Signifi cantly larger high beam range. Obstacles on the road are detected more quickly.
