1 Final Weeks for Year 10 Students 2016 Tuesday B 15 th November Last day of normal classes for Year 10 Period 5 Examination rooms set up Room 2 and 35 Extra chairs and desks from room 13 (33 desks and chairs in each room) Period 5 Staff to assist with set up: DB LT LW CJ LB AG LHE Wednesday B 16 th November Year 10 Study Day at Home (No supervision available at school) Year 10 Exams Year 10 Examinations Thursday 17 th to Wednesday 23 rd November Information Full Sumner Uniform Leavers tops permitted - Compulsory attendance at examinations You are required to attend school every day an exam is schedule and must be on time to your examination room at 8.40am If you are unable to attend an exam due to illness, a phone call to the Office from your parent/carer is required by 8.45am that morning. You will be asked to complete the exam on your return to school. If you are attending an organised study tutorial with a teacher you may attend school when you do no have an exam. If you come to school at this time you must sign in at the Office when you arrive and sign out when you leave. Punctuality will be taken before the commencement of each exam. Please be at your designated exam room by 8.40am where attendance will be taken and admin notices communicated. Permitted Materials Take into the exam room only those items allowable in the exam in a clear plastic bag, If unsure, please ask your subject teachers well before the exam. No items are to be left in the exam room at the conclusion of an exam or private study sessions. Exam Procedure You are not to enter an exam room until directed to do so by the supervising teacher. Once in the exam room you may not communicate with another student. At the beginning of each written exam there will be a reading period. During this time you should read all instructions carefully and write notes but you may not begin writing in the answer booklet. Should you have a question or difficulty of any kind, raise your hand and wait for the supervising teacher. Unless absolutely necessary, you may not leave the room during an exam. There will be no provision for toilet breaks. The supervising teacher will inform you when you may begin writing and when you must stop writing. You must stop writing when asked to do so and must remain silent until you leave the room. All Year 10 students must sign the exit book at the examination venue before leaving the College Summer uniform is to be worn throughout the exam period (not sports uniform) Leavers Tops may be worn

5 Friday B 2 nd December: Y10 Final Assembly / Farewell Dinner Summer uniform with blazer (half day) Compulsory attendance Do not write on dress that you will be wearing home, wearing to celebration evening or the farewell dinner. Please provide another item for this purpose. Clan Time (AG LW CJ SY) 9:00am All Year 10 Students gather in Drama Room in preparation for Year 10 Award Ceremony. Students are to be in full summer uniform including blazer No Leavers tops 9:30am Year 10 Award Ceremony 10:20am Recess 10:50am All Year 10 Students gather in Drama Room in preparation for Year 10 Final Assembly. Leavers Tops may be worn or signed uniform memento item. (CJ AG LW) Unfortunately Cameras may not be used by students during this event, but a set of memento photos will be taken and made available for any student who wants a copy. 11:00am Year 10 Final Assembly At the conclusion of Assembly, Year 10 students leave the College Grounds in full summer uniform. No signed items to be worn. 12:55 approx. Dismissal for students not involved with Dance practice Year 9/ 10 DANCE Practice 12:55 1:40pm (PW) Year 10 Farewell Dinner - Grand Chancellor 6:30pm arrival for 7:00pm start Full Summer Uniform with Blazer Monday 5 th December Online reports released for viewing Y10 s not required at school except if they are involved with Dance - No student supervision available 1:40 3:15pm Y5-10 DANCE Full Dress Rehearsal - Cahill Centre Tuesday 6 th December College tracksuit Half Day Leavers tops permitted 9:30 11:00am GYC Orientation Day GYC Hobart Campus - For students who will be attending GYC in 2017 (Students are to make their own way to GYC and Home) 1:40 3:15pm Y5-10 DANCE Full Dress Rehearsal Cahill Centre TBC Otherwise Y10 s not required at school Wednesday 7 th December: Celebration Evening College track suit (Full day) Leavers tops permitted Compulsory attendance Students are required to bring recess lunch and a drink 8:30am Year 10 Dancers, Members of 9/10 Music class, College Co-Captains report to Tasman Room at Wrest Point at 8.30am 9:30am: All other Y10 students meet Home Room Teachers in Foyer at Wrest Point. Full Sports Uniform to be worn. Rehearsals for Y10 concludes after Graduation Practice at 3.20pm 7:00-7:10pm Year 10 Students are to Report to Home Room Teachers outside the Wellington Room. (Full summer uniform, with appropriate dress length and clean shoes and blazer)
