Design Influence of Surrounding Metal When mounting a Proximity Sensor, be sure to provide a distance of 8 mm min. from surrounding metal s to prevent the Sensor from being affected by metal s other than the sensing. When mounting the Sensor with the L-shaped Mounting Bracket, be sure to provide a distance of 2 mm min. between the face of the sensing head and the Mounting Bracket. Be sure to ground.
