4 Embrace the Blessings In the Words of the Promised Messiah (Peace be upon him) The primary purpose of this Convention is that every sincere member of Jama at may derive religious benefits and at the same time acquire more knowledge and advance in God realization. Among its secondary benefits is that this congregational meeting together will promote mutual introduction among all brothers, and will strengthen the fraternal ties within this Community. (Ishtihar Dec. 7,1892, Majmoo`ah Ishtiharat Vol. I, Page 340) It is essential for all those who can afford to undertake the journey, that they must come to attend this Convention which embodies many blessed objectives. They should disregard minor inconveniences in the cause of Allah and His prophet (peace be upon him.). Allah yields reward to the sincere persons at every step of their way, and no labour and hardship, undertaken in His way, ever goes to waste. I re-emphasize that you must not rank this convention in the same league as other, ordinary, human assemblies. This is a phenomenon that is based purely on the Divine Help, for the propagation of Islam. (Ishtihar Dec , Majmoo`ah Ishtiharat Vol. I, Page 341)! 4

5 39 th Jalsa Salana Canada 2015 I conclude with the prayer that everyone who travels for [attending] this Convention that is for the sake of Allah: May Allah, the Exalted, be with him, reward him in abundant measure, have mercy on him, ease up for him his circumstances of hardship and anxiety and eliminate his anguish and grief. May He grant him freedom from every single hardship and lay open for him the ways of [achieving] his cherished goals, and raise him up, on the Day of Judgment, among those of His servants who are the recipients of His blessings and Mercy. May He be their Guardian in their absence until after their journey comes to an end. O Allah! O Sublime One and Bestower of bounties, the Ever Merciful and One Who Resolves all problems, do grant all these prayers, and grant us Victory over our opponents with scintillating signs, because You alone have all the prowess and power. Please find below important information about this event. Location: International Centre 6900 Airport Road, Mississauga, Ontario. Men s Jalsagah is located in Hall 5 Ladies Jalsagah is located in Hall 3 The International Centre is conveniently located in the south east corner at the intersection of Airport Road and Derry Road, in the city of Mississauga, west of Metropolitan Toronto.! 6

Toronto Public Transit: Toronto has a clean and safe Public Transit system. One way fare for Adults is $3.25 and for Seniors (65+) $2.00. From Downtown: You can ride the subway from downtown Toronto to either Islington Subway Station or the Kipling Subway Station. The approximate taxi fare from these stations to International Centre (Jalsagah) is $30.00 to $ From Downtown (Bus terminal or Train Station) to go to Mission House: Take subway train to Yorkdale Subway Station and, the taxi fare from Yorkdale Subway station to Mission house is approximately $35.00 to $ Uber X: Will Approximately cost about $20.! 10

Please follow the sign Limited Transportation facility is available from the designated locations during the morning hours. Please check with the Transportation Department for the nearest pick-up point. Please note that pick-up is generally available from Baitul Islam Mosque and few other locations in the Greater Toronto area at specific times only. Return transportation will be available immediately after the last session of the day. 14 Parking General Parking: Ample paved parking is available in the parking lot of the International Centre. Please follow the directions and co-operate with parking and traffic control volunteers on duty. Reserved Parking: Some parking spots near the entrances are reserved only for: Persons holding government-issued handicap permits. Dignitaries & government officials. On-duty volunteers requiring frequent in and out access. Note: Handicap parking permits will be issued only upon verification of the Handicap permit issued by the government agencies. Note: Please note that cars cannot be parked in any areas not designated as parking lots. Due to safety considerations, fire route regulations and for smooth flow of traffic, any vehicle, parked on fire routes, will have to be immediately removed without any notice. (Tea will be available at all times) Note: These services are not available during the sessions of Jalsa Salana. Food Stalls Renting a Stall: Stalls are available for rent at a nominal cost. Any one interested in booking a stall for food or any other item should contact: Nasir Ahmad Nazim Stalls General Info: Snacks, soft drinks and other food items will be available, at reasonable prices, at the food stalls. The food stalls will be closed during the Jalsa Program and the daily prayers. Note: Please note that all the food stalls will be indoors. Therefore BBQ or other stoves, requiring charcoal or gas fuel, are not permitted.! 16

17 Exhibition & Bookstall Interesting and informative displays about Islam- Ahmadiyyat will be available for viewing. Books, literature and other items on Islam- Ahmadiyyat can also be purchased at reasonable prices. Translation Most part of the program will be in English. Simultaneous translation, in Urdu and English will be available, in designated areas, in the Jalsagah. Due to the limited quantity of available equipment, please arrive in time to be assured of getting a translation device. The wireless headsets will be available for loan for each session, upon deposit of a valid photo-id with address (e.g. driving license, passport) or upon cash deposit fully refundable on return of the headset. Information, Complaints, Lost & Found! 17

18 Information Desk will be located in the lobby of Hall 5, next to the Registration Desk, on both men and women side. Items found, but not claimed during the Jalsa, are transferred to Baitul Islam Markaz for return to the owners. To help this service, please write your name, address and contact telephone on a tag attached to such items which may possibly be misplaced e.g. bags, brief cases, caps, watches, wallets, umbrellas etc. Parents are encouraged to put name tag with contact details on their young children. It is advisable not to bring valuables or large amount of cash at Jalsagah. Safe Deposit Service: Safe deposit service for valuables is also available. Please make sure to get a receipt while depositing cash or valuables.! 18

19 Photography/ Video Recording Photography and Video Recording is not allowed in the Jalsagah. In special cases, limited number of permits may be issued on a written formal request. Please contact Jalsagah Office for details. Contact: Muzaffar Malik Medical Facilities Medical teams will be present at both the men and women Jalsagah for any emergency needs. If you are on any medication, please carry it with you during the Jalsa. Members of Canada Jama at are requested to carry their health insurance cards with them. Foreign guests are advised to acquire Travel Health Insurance policy from their country, as medical care is expensive in Canada. On weekends, take the TTC Malton 58D bus westbound to the International Centre.
