5 Meaning of Mainstreaming Mainstreaming HIV/AIDS means all sectors/programs/projects (S/P/P) determining: How the spread of HIV is caused or contributed to by the S/P/P both internally and externally. How the epidemic is likely to affect the S/P/P goals, objectives and programmes The S/P/P utilises its comparative advantage to respond-to limit the spread of HIV and to mitigate the impact of the epidemic. Taking Immediate Action.
