1 The Company Amtex is one of the leading textile manufacturing groups in Pakistan. It is a vertically integrated group with operations in all sectors of the textile industry from Spinning to Stitching. The annual turnover of the group is around 200 million US dollars. Amtex provides employment opportunities to about 15,000 families. It has a diversified product and market portfolio. Amtex holds a special position in the textile industry in the sense that it provides the largest variety and combination of products to its customers under one roof. 2 Spinning We have state of the art spinning facilities covering the complete sphere of yarn manufacturing including ultramodern automated setup with high speed ring frames. Amtex s automated spinning facility is the most modern in the region. We have the facilities to produce carded as well as combed yarn. The flexibility of in our house machinery results in manufacturing of yarn counts from 7 s to 120 s with high uniformity, evenness and low IPI s which is reflected in our woven products. 3 Weaving Amtex has an extensive weaving set up having variety of machines including Power, Auto, Shuttles, Air jet and Water jet looms which produce an enormous variety of fabrics having multiple weaves from 1/1 plain weave to jacquard in different widths ranging from 36 inch to 153 inch with maximum thread count of 1000 threads per square inch. The inventory of more than 5000 machines are fully equipped with various kinds of secondary and auxiliary equipments to produce Dobbies, Jacquards and Seer sucker weave patterns. A team of competent, experienced, and skilled professionals including textile and mechanical engineers in weaving division. The company has a large stock of greige fabric and maintains an inventory of 15 to 20 million meters fabric for its regular customers. The fabric is prepared under comprehensive quality control parameters based on Four Points Inspection System it operates right from raw materials input quality level to the end product according to the requirement of our worthy customers. The prime objective is to provide quality products and to ensure on time deliveries.

4 Singing & Preparation Our modern Singeing machines from Vollenweider and Osthoff are quite simply the best that money can buy. At Amtex we have the latest wide width Continuous Bleaching Range from Goller (Germany) with fully computerised PLC Chemical Dosing system.

5 Dyeing Our dyeing operations, are equipped with the most sophisticated continuous dyeing machinery available. We have a wide width Thermosol range from Monforts (Germany) fitted with KUSTER padder (Germany) and a new pad steam/wash range from BENNINGER. These machines together with our careful selection of the most suitable dyestuffs, continuous automatic monitoring of all process parameters, and regular instrumental colour measurement, guarantee that our products achieve and maintain the highest quality standards.

6 Printing Our Printing Department, equipped with 3 most modern ZIMMER Printing Machines, the latest of which is installed in We are capable of printing 21 colours on fabric up to a width of 3200 mm, and repeat sizes ranging from 641 mm to 1200 mm is the best available. The latest addition of a new ZIMMER wide width flat bed panel printing system Magnoprint Trendline it can print repeats up to 3500 mm. This machine coupled with our Waxjet and conventional Engraving, ensures that we can achieve the finest and the most sophisticated designs on a wide range of fabrics. In our Sampling Department we have a new Ink-jet printer in addition to sampling tables, allowing very rapid translation of designs from the original concept on to fabric. We can offer a range of Printing styles including Pigment and Reactive colours, and Specialities such as Glow in the Dark, Panel Prints, Puff/Foam Print and Burn-Out. Our brand new automatic colour kitchen range Thermo Electronic from Italy ensures excellent re-productability from run to run and exceptional consistency within runs. 7 Finishing Amtex has a range of excellent Stentering machines from Monforts (Germany) with fully automatic controls. These can be used for batching and finishing of fabric having Mahlo Weft Straightner at entry and exit points to avoid bowing and skewness these can further be used for pigment dyeing in pastal and medium shades. We have got extensive Calendering equipment including the latest Ramisch Kleinewefer with Nipco bowls, wide width Sanforising machine and Combined Peaching/Raising machines. 8 Design & Creation Amtex has an in-house Design Studio with the responsibility for procuring and generating designs for various markets under the guidance of international professionals. We get regular advice including Story and Mood Boards from our design consultants in Western Europe, Australia and the USA, allowing us to stay at the Cutting Edge of International design and styling. Customers can view our Online Design Library. We have the facility of a most modern fabric plotter, that can readily print design on fabric without making screens just to give our valued customers actual look of the design on the fabric.

9 I.T. Department Our business automation infrastructure is based on a highly skilled and expert IT team. The team is involved in automating business processes; work flows, alongwith hardware development and integration with the information system. Moreover, we craft our business strategies and decision making through advanced statistical analysis for quality, performance & forecasting. We are facilitating our customers by providing a Business to Business (B2B), Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Collaborative Environment for smooth business operations. In addition to our Decision Support System (DSS), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), and a Web-based order status, on-demand live production view with web cam and production reverse tracking systems are the basic parts for customer care. A well organized, up to date information system is an edge to us to serve you better.

10 Embroidery The Embroidery Department is equipped with computerised BARUDAN 20 head, 9 colour machines, this in house Embroidery facility allows us to rapidly translate designs onto fabric guaranteeing prompt and reliable service to our Customers.

11 Quality Assurance Here at Amtex we pride ourselves that we not only check the quality of the finished product but also we have an extensive system of in house quality and process control. Quality is assured at Amtex by the intelligent use of the most up to date technology including modern machinery and the best available dyes & chemicals. Amtex has the best equipped QC laboratory in the region. Here QC technicians are well experienced in assessing all new developments, dyes and chemicals. From time to time as a matter of practice we get our lab results validated from the internationally accredited laboratories.

12 Power Generation Amtex Power is entirely based on self-generation, has the power generation capacity of approximately 11 MW with future expansion load of about 14 MW on JENBACHER GAS ENGINES. Amtex is pioneer in operating JENBACHER Gas Engines. Which has most advanced technology of Lean Burn combustion System and controlled emission level by a Leanox Patented System of Motorized Carburetor & exhaust by pass valve.

13 Environmental Protection In the processing section we have installed an extensive and expensive water treatment plant, to improve the quality of our water. More importantly Amtex is currently installing its own effluent treatment plant. Our prime contribution to the city of Faisalabad is Amtex Square, as part of our effort to beautify the city. This square depicts both architectural and historical features as its centerpiece has the biggest man-made waterfall of Pakistan. Amtex has made a bird sanctuary committed to the care and breeding of endangered species from around the world and all the schools of the city regularly visit our zoo to educate children how to protect and procure wild life. Controbution to the Future Generation Amtex is well aware of not only in house but also futur needs of the textile industry as whole, a university with name of Faisalabad Instute of Textile and Fashion Design is founded to cater for the needs of textile industry in the fields of Middle Management and Fashion Design. The university includes a broad base infrastructure for research & development to produce stylists in fashion/textile design.

17 Wadding & Quilting We have a special wadding line that gives us an edge over other suppliers of quilted products. Due to sandwich carding, the products retain their shape. Even vacuum packing or long time storage does not effect the quality of product. The combination In-House high speed Quilting Machines and our wadding facility help us to ensure high quality and timely deliveries.

18 Stitching Home Textile The extensive stitching facility is divided in 14 units with more that 800 latest machines equipped with various tools to produce a diversified product range. Each stitching unit is designed for specified products, to achieve the optimum level production efficiencies and highest level of quality standards. We are in process of implementing a state of the art Eaton system and reverse production tracking that will allow us to track each and every operation done on the product ensuring that customer gets perfect quality. Quality Control An independent quality control department is working to ensure the highest level of quality standards as per the customer s specifications. Independent checks have been implemented in between and at the end of each process to improve, stabilize and control the individual processes. The approach has helped us in producing defect free products with minimum resources and at lowest cost. Statistical AQL quality control system are being followed at the completion of stitching and packing.

Various inspections in cutting, stitching, washing, finishing and packing facilitate us to maintain AQL levels as per customer s requirement.
