Real wood joinery expands and contracts with the rest of the table, and doesn t fail or work loose after years of use, like metal connectors. There s a reason antiques are still valuable today: because joints like dovetails and mortise and tenon stand up to the wear and tear of daily use. In the age of particle board and veneer, we choose to use real, solid hard and soft woods. Our furniture is sturdy, made to last a lifetime of use. There s an endless number of combinations of wood, stain, paint, distress, lacquer, etc, that can be combined to make the wood look just the way you want.
