6 MOHA-Retail & Design Centre has been established under the PPP mode. This 4000 sq. feet area showcases new and innovative products being produced by Rural Women Of India.

7 MOHA FOR STRENGTHENING WE Moha Retail DSR of cluster shows the women as main producers but end up only as wage earners and exploited CWEI MOHA has Created sustainable enterprises for thousands of Women groups without getting squeezed with middle men or big retail players who put high mark-up on products/ delay payments for small enterprises who lack working capital. Single touch point for Retail, Wholesale and Export of products, and B2C revenue channels. through B2B Provided exposure, training, design workshops, business basic skills that can build robust clusters. Modern retail design that relates to all age groups and can compete with established brands. Intellectual Property Rights IPR tools for protection and market support.

8 Women Entrepreneurs- Capacity Development Barriers:- Gender budgeting in all line ministries especially MSME to be reviewed. Special provision and budget separately for the micro sector- dominated by women. Dissemination of information:- Policies and programs do not reach the grassroots. All India Census shows outdated figures of WE. Data not accurate.

9 Women Entrepreneurs- Capacity Development NMCP program is only for those who are registered with the DIC s and have EM Part II This is a difficult process as it involves inspection by officers and clearances which are difficult to get. Therefore unregistered units, specially women are unable to make use of MSME schemes. Cluster development program:- hard interventions, tangible assets and CFC s and other infrastructure facilities are the state subject and often all state govts. are not so pro active towards the schemes and therefore some programs cannot be executed without the support of state govt.

10 Women Entrepreneurs- Capacity Development Credit Flow to women should be in the priority sector with re-bate in ROI. (Women who pay up on time should be rewarded) Achieved targets not quantified by Banks who are the beneficiaries. Credit guarantee trust fund - In-spite of this the banks feel it s a painful process to claim the guarantee cover through the corpus fund Financial Inclusion:- Women in groups have opened A/C s, however with credit not being released on time have eventually made women withdraw their deposits and therefore their A/C becomes non functional leading to MICRO DEBT

11 Women Entrepreneurs- Capacity Development Enhancing the capacity for growth ESDP:-These programs have helped us to provide employable skills at the grass root level. However a lack of infrastructure facilities in the remote areas hamper the growth process Incubators to be setup for hands on training on new appropriate technologies, projects and services. Women technology parks to be setup. Design clinics for R&D and Innovations. ICT for communications, connectivity and as a tool for growth. Science & technology to reduce drudgery, enhance productivity, improve quality and achieve optimum economies of scale for sustainability and growth Group Formation or collectives in the form of JLG/LLP s have to be encouraged. Institutional building mechanism to be put into place. Higher savings of groups should get higher ROI s and 10 times the matching fund

12 Women Entrepreneurs- Capacity Development Markets for efficiency and inclusion Fair Traders:- Women consist of 51% of the global population and represent an even greater percentage of our producers yet they are considered as minorities. Sadly to say women in fair trade are often unaware of their rights Empower producers with a right based approach to fair trade the guiding principal of CEDAW. Purchase preference to the women in the MSME sector. Total enterprise development is linking the product to the market and providing handholding, mentoring and escort services with regular follow-up will ensure success of the entrepreneurs. Speedy tribunals to be setup for delayed payments and arbitration/harassment by buyers.
