3 Valpak in China In 2004, Valpak set up China office in Tianjin, We have grown quickly and have already secured contracts with over 100 reprocessing factories throughout China. All of contracted factories are being inspected by China office with Factory Audit report. Up to 2008, Valpak china office is handling over 0.5 million tons recyclable material includes paper and plastic cross to whole china. After 2008, Valpak is doing consultancy work with Environment Agency in UK on the market research in China via China office. 3

4 Valpak and Greenpoint In 2011, Greenpoint became the shareholder of Valpak by holding 30%. Greenpoint is a Luxembourg holding company whose main asset is 100% ownership of Der Grüne Punkt - Duales System Deutschland GmbH ('DSD') -- is a German market leader in recycling compliance services. Greenpoint was established in 2010 by a group of private investors to pursue the significant opportunities in the global recycling market. 4

6 Before 2006, recycling industry in china is base on market demand, most of recycling factories especially in plastic are medium and small size. There is less control on the water treatment and air emission. After 2006, Chinese government start building up recycling park to centralize the pollution management from recycling factories. 6

8 The Area is located in the southwestern part of Jinghai County, Tianjin, close to Hebei Province. It is 60KM away from the city center of Tianjin, 150KM away from the urban area of Beijing, 60KM away from Tianjin Binhai International Airport and 90KM away from Tianjin seaport. The whole was built up with a modernized transport and communication network that integrates the railway, the airport and the seaport. 8

10 The Area has a total planning area of 135 square KM, the mid-term planning area being 50 square KM and an area of 30 square KM, to be constructed in the near future. It comprises a Production and Processing Area, a Scientific Research and Service Area and a Residential Area. The Area focuses on five major industries of waste: electronic information products, discarded vehicle, rubber and plastic processing. new-type energy, energy saving & environment protection. 10

11 At present, there are 120 companies in the area with annual capacity of 1 million to 1.5 million tons. It can supply 400,000 tons copper raw materials, 150,000 tons aluminum materials, 200,000 tons iron, 20,000tons rubber and plastic and 150,000 tons other materials for the market. It achieves international and domestic cooperation and integration of the first, second and third industries, joint of products and complementation of resources priorities. 11

12 There is large-scale public Engineering Island in the area and unified comprehensive energy saving and environment protection system which integrates sewage collection treatment, water reuse, rain collection and the deserted treatment. The recycling utilization rate of water resources and harmless treatment rate of the deserted and penetration rate of green building are all up to 100%. 12

14 Circulating Economy Law In 2008, Chinese government landed Recycling Economy Law which officially set up the concept of recycling. This law relate to below areas.. Waste Reduction in the Production Process Waste Reduction in the Circulation and Consumption Process Reuse and Recycling of Industrial Wastes Reuse and Recycling of Wastes after Circulation and Consumption 14

15 Summary There are 22 recycling parks so far in China. The main purpose is recycling material under government management and reduce the pollution. In future, government will keep focus on developing the recycling park and encourage recycling companies set up in their business in the area for the metal and plastic. Thank you 15
